Social security has been transferred back to my hometown, and now the Shanghai company has to apply for insurance and open a new account. Is there any connection with home?

1. It is best to transfer the money from home and continue to pay in the new unit to avoid going through the formalities of transferring the merged account in the future;

2. If you successfully re-open an account in Shanghai, you can also pay in the new account in Shanghai, and the original account will be suspended (no payment is required). If you work in Shanghai for a long time, you will have time to move and merge in registered permanent residence;

3. After going through the account merger procedure, your pension will not be affected, and the account is cumulative. See social insurance law for details.
