The insurance paid by enterprises is five insurances, which belong to employee insurance, including pension, medical care, work injury, maternity and unemployment. Social security paid by oneself belongs to urban and rural residents' insurance and is flexible employment insurance. This is essentially different from employee insurance and cannot be handled in a unified way. Although individuals pay social security and participate in endowment insurance and medical insurance, the amount and treatment paid are still different from those of employees.
Second, the payment base is different.
The payment base of social security paid by the unit is: the average wage of employees in the previous year (if the average wage of employees in the previous year is higher than the average wage of society by 300%, it will be paid by 300%; If the average wage of employees in the previous year was lower than 60% of the average social wage, it will be paid at 60%. In other words, the base of social security paid by the unit is linked to the average salary of the employees themselves. The payment base of personal social security is fixed at high, medium and low levels for individuals to choose. The three-level payment base is between 60% and 300% of the average social wage and is not linked to personal income.
Third, the payment amount is different.
Social security, pension, medical care and unemployment insurance are paid by units and individuals, while maternity insurance and work-related injury insurance are paid by units, accounting for the bulk. In this regard, the social security paid by the unit is of course much more favorable than that paid by the individual. All expenses incurred by individuals in paying social security, endowment insurance and medical insurance shall be borne by themselves.
Fourth, the place of payment is different.
The social security paid by the unit is not local or foreign. As long as you work full-time, you can pay social security at the employee's workplace. Individuals who pay social security must be locals, and foreigners need to return to their domicile to pay social security.

Tenth employees should participate in the basic old-age insurance, and employers and employees should pay the basic old-age insurance premium. Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic old-age insurance in the employer and other flexible employees can participate in the basic old-age insurance, and individuals pay the basic old-age insurance premium. The measures for the endowment insurance of civil servants and staff managed by reference to the Civil Service Law shall be formulated by the State Council.
Twenty-third employees should participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and employers and employees should pay the basic medical insurance premiums in accordance with state regulations. Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic medical insurance for employees and other flexible employees can participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and individuals pay the basic medical insurance premium in accordance with state regulations.
Article 57 An employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of its establishment, apply to the local social insurance agency for social insurance registration with its business license, registration certificate or unit seal. The social insurance agency shall, within fifteen days from the date of receiving the application, examine and issue the social insurance registration certificate. Where the social insurance registration items of the employing unit are changed or the employing unit is terminated according to law, it shall, within 30 days from the date of change or termination, go to the social insurance agency to handle the change or cancellation of social insurance registration. The market supervision and management department, the civil affairs department and the organization management organ shall promptly inform the social insurance agency of the establishment and termination of the employing unit, and the public security organ shall promptly inform the social insurance agency of the birth, death, household registration, migration and cancellation of the individual.
