Shenzhen social security payment is included in the basic medical insurance, according to the relevant regulations:

Article 7 of the Measures of Shenzhen Municipality on Social Medical Insurance: Employers and employees shall jointly pay social medical insurance premiums. The employing unit shall participate in the first basic medical insurance for its registered employees in this city, and choose one of the first, second and third basic medical insurance for its non-registered employees in this city.

Article 9 of the Measures of Shenzhen Municipality on Social Medical Insurance: Employees participating in the first stage of basic medical insurance shall pay 8% of their total monthly salary every month, of which 6% shall be paid by the employer and 2% by the individual.
