Social Security Payment in the Transition from Urban Insurance to Urban Insurance in Shanghai for Three Years

Shanghai does stipulate that the social security contributions of foreign urban household registration and non-urban household registration are different:

Household registration in foreign cities and towns pays social security five insurances as household registration in this city. The minimum payment base is 3022 yuan, and the proportion of payment is 35% for the unit and 0.5% for the individual/kloc-0, and the total payment is 1375.6 yuan/month.

Non-urban household registration in other places pays social security three insurances (unemployment and maternity insurance are not paid), the minimum payment base is 2770 yuan, the payment ratio is 27.5% for the unit and 9% for the individual, and the total payment is101.1yuan/month. From April 2065438 to April 2005, the "five-year transition period" ended, and the payment was no longer divided into towns and non-towns.

However, agricultural household registration in other places can also pay five insurances. The Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security stipulates that "employers and their employees can also negotiate insurance payment in accordance with the provisions of social insurance for urban employees in this city", which largely depends on how the unit implements it.
