The bank where the social security card is processed can be changed. Social insurance agencies will set up branches and service outlets in the region according to the needs of the work; if the insured person does not want to handle the relevant business in the original bank, he can go to other outlets set up to do so.

Article 72 of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China (PRC) states that social insurance agencies shall be set up in integrated areas. Social insurance agencies may, according to their work needs and with the approval of the social insurance administrative department and the organization and establishment management organs of their localities, set up branches and service outlets in the integrated areas. The personnel expenses of social insurance agencies and the basic operating and administrative expenses incurred in the administration of social insurance shall be guaranteed by the finances at the same level in accordance with the provisions of the State.
