Social Security Payment Standard of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province

Yuxi is a municipality directly under the Central Government of Yunnan Province. According to the Regulations on Work-related Injury Insurance and Yun [2011] No.255, the social security for work-related injury retirement is paid by both the employer and the injured person (mainly involving pension insurance and medical insurance).

Generally speaking, work-related injury retirement has the following situations:

First, if the work-related injury is serious, and the employee is identified as a first-class or fourth-class disability due to work-related, he will retain his labor relations and quit his job, and the industrial injury insurance fund will pay the disability allowance on a monthly basis (if the actual amount of the disability allowance is lower than the local minimum wage, the industrial injury insurance fund will make up the difference). After reaching retirement age and going through retirement formalities, the disability allowance will be stopped and the basic old-age insurance benefits will be enjoyed in accordance with state regulations. If the basic old-age insurance benefits are lower than the disability allowance, the industrial injury insurance fund will make up the difference.

If a work-related disability is identified as one to four levels of disability, the employer and individual employees shall pay the basic medical insurance premium on the basis of disability allowance.

Second, if the work-related disability is identified as level 5-6, the labor relationship with the employer will be retained, and the employer will arrange appropriate work. If it is difficult to arrange work, the employer will issue disability allowance on a monthly basis (retirement in disguise). The standard is: level 5 disability is 70% of my salary, level 6 disability is 60% of my salary, and the employer shall pay the social insurance premium that should be paid according to the regulations. If the actual amount of disability allowance is lower than the local minimum wage, the employer shall make up the difference.

Third, retirement for other reasons has a considerable relationship with the employer.
