How long will it take to submit the medical reimbursement?

It takes three months for medical insurance to be reimbursed. Medical insurance reimbursement time is after discharge or transfer, hospitalization and outpatient treatment settlement procedures:

1. Before each month 10, the designated medical institutions will report the hospitalization statements and expense statements of patients discharged from the hospital last month to the medical insurance agency, which will be used as the basis for monthly pre-allocation and year-end final accounts after examination;

2, medical insurance institutions monthly pre-allocated last month's hospitalization and outpatient co-ordination costs, which were identified as designated medical institutions for medical treatment and drug purchase of medical expenses for accounting, immediate settlement.

Twenty-eighth medical expenses that meet the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency treatment and rescue shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.

Twenty-ninth medical expenses of the insured shall be paid by the basic medical insurance fund, and shall be directly settled by the social insurance agency, medical institutions and pharmaceutical business units. The administrative department of social insurance and the administrative department of health shall establish a settlement system for medical expenses in different places to facilitate the insured to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits.
