According to the Circular on Raising the Basic Pension of National Enterprise Retirees in 2023, issued by the State Council at the end of 2022, the basic pension of national enterprise retirees will be raised by 8% on a monthly average in 2023, and the level of the basic pension in the Tibetan region will be raised accordingly. At the same time, this standard will also affect social security contributions, workers' compensation and severance pay. For example, the new version of the Labor Contract Law, which will be implemented in 2019, stipulates that if an employer does not pay social insurance premiums in violation of the law, it shall pay the social insurance premiums to the worker in accordance with the following methods, and pay him or her economic compensation equivalent to his or her average monthly salary according to the number of days. In addition, according to the Regulations on Work-Related Injury Insurance, during the period of medical treatment for work-related injuries, the employer shall pay the worker's medical expenses for the period of medical treatment for work-related injuries at the rate of at least 60% but not more than 70% of the worker's average monthly wage.
