What is the process of the company opening a provident fund account?

1. Just like opening a social security account, you must first prepare: enterprise business license, organization code certificate, tax registration certificate, bank account opening permit, legal representative ID card and other documents.

2. Register the unit provident fund online in official website, the city housing provident fund management center, and print the pre-registration documents generated by the provident fund official website. Some districts need to make an appointment to go to the provident fund center after online registration.

3. Prepare three originals and photocopies of enterprise business license, three originals and photocopies of organization code certificate, three originals and photocopies of tax registration certificate, three originals and photocopies of bank account opening permit, three photocopies of legal representative's ID card, company official seal, legal person seal and other materials that may be used.

4. With the printed pre-registration documents and the materials mentioned in the third point, go to the designated provident fund center (generally the provident fund center in the district where the registered address of the unit is located) for on-site registration. After the registration is completed, the Provident Fund Center will issue the "Unit Housing Provident Fund Registration Number". In some cities, online provident fund business needs to purchase the digital certificate of enterprise provident fund first. In most cities, this card cannot be used together with the social guarantee. Therefore, if necessary, you can purchase and activate the digital certificate after completing the registration in the provident fund center.

5. If you need to pay the monthly provident fund fee by bank transfer, after the provident fund registration is completed, you need to sign the provident fund withholding agreement with the form, official seal and legal person seal returned by the provident fund center.

Legal basis: Regulations on the Management of Housing Provident Fund

Article 9 The Housing Provident Fund Management Committee shall perform the following duties in the management of housing provident fund: (1) Formulate and adjust specific measures for the management of housing provident fund according to relevant laws, regulations and policies, and supervise the implementation; (two) according to the provisions of article eighteenth of this Ordinance, formulate the specific deposit ratio of housing provident fund; (three) to determine the maximum loan amount of housing provident fund; (four) approval of housing provident fund collection and use plan; (five) to consider the housing provident fund value-added income distribution plan; (six) to examine and approve the report on the implementation of the plan for the collection and use of housing provident fund.

Article 10 The cities where the people's governments of municipalities directly under the central government, provinces and autonomous regions are located and other cities divided into districts (prefectures and leagues) shall set up housing provident fund management centers in accordance with the principle of simplification and efficiency, and be responsible for the management and operation of housing provident fund. County (city) does not set up housing provident fund management center. The housing provident fund management center specified in the preceding paragraph may set up branches in counties (cities) where conditions permit. The housing provident fund management center and its branches shall implement unified rules and regulations and conduct unified accounting. Housing provident fund management center is an independent institution directly under the Municipal People's Government, which is not for profit.
