Is the social security card universal in all provinces?

Legal analysis: Social security card has the function of financial service and can be used nationwide. Insured persons registered in social security agencies can enjoy social security services such as medical care in the whole province. On the other hand, if the insured person is not registered with the social security agency, he can't enjoy the social security benefits of the whole province.

Legal basis: Article 50 of the Labor Contract Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the employer shall issue a certificate of dissolution or termination of the labor contract when it is dissolved or terminated, and go through the formalities of transferring the relationship between files and social insurance for the employee within 15 days. Laborers shall handle the work handover according to the agreement of both parties. If the employing unit should pay economic compensation to the workers in accordance with the relevant provisions of this law, it should pay it when the work handover is completed. The employing unit shall keep the text of the dissolved or terminated labor contract for at least two years for future reference.

Article 4 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law Employers and individuals in People's Republic of China (PRC) pay social insurance premiums according to law, and have the right to inquire about payment records and personal rights and interests records, and require social insurance agencies to provide social insurance consultation and other related services. Individuals enjoy social insurance benefits according to law and have the right to supervise the payment of their own units.
