Shanghai's medical insurance card can be used without a password, but because the password is to ensure the safety of personal medical insurance card funds, the country does not have a unified password for social insurance cards, and the initial password of medical insurance cards in different regions is generally different.

Medical insurance card password modification method:

If the insured employees change their passwords, they can call 95566 to make changes, or they can take their ID cards to China Bank Savings Office to make changes. If the insured employee forgets his password, he can report the loss of the original password with his ID card to China Bank Savings Office and change it.

How to use the medical insurance card:

1. Scope of use of medical insurance card: When insured employees buy medicines in designated hospitals and pharmacies, they can swipe their cards on POS machines with their passwords, but they cannot withdraw cash or transfer money;

2. Inquire about the balance of medical insurance card: Insured employees can inquire about the balance by dialing 95566, or at China Bank Savings Office or designated hospitals and pharmacies in urban areas, or by logging in to the social security inquiry system online. Or use your mobile phone to log in to the mobile phone social security inquiry network to inquire about the balance of the medical insurance card;

3. Inquiry of medical insurance card transaction: Insured employees can print medical insurance card transaction records in China Bank Savings Office with their ID cards and medical insurance requirements, including personal account payment records and consumption records. If they have any questions about the transaction records, they can go to the retail business department of Bank of China.
