How long can I use the medical insurance card after activation?

1. The general social security card can be used after it is activated, but the medical insurance will take effect in the fourth month after the continuous insurance payment is over 3 months.

3. After receiving the card, the cardholder must activate the medical account and financial account of the social security card at any local service bank outlet with his valid ID card and social security card.

Social security cards are generally activated and can be used immediately. The employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. Workers who are not employed by the employing unit may apply for social insurance registration to the social insurance agency as flexible employees. How long is the activation period of the social security card?
