Is the rural medical card the same as the social security card?

Rural medical card and social security card are not the same card, as follows:

1. According to the different purposes and issuing objects of agricultural insurance cards, agricultural insurance cards are divided into three types: rural social security citizen cards and rural social security management cards, as well as various SAM cards, card-issuing mother cards and card-issuing mother cards.

2. The Social Security Card of the People's Republic of China is an integrated circuit card which is uniformly planned by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and issued to the society by local human resources and social security departments, and is used in various business fields of human resources and social security. Social security cards are issued to urban employees, unemployed people and retirees, and social security cards are issued to employers. Social security cards have a wide range of functions. Cardholders can not only use the card for real-time settlement of medical insurance personal accounts, but also handle endowment insurance affairs; Go through the formalities of job registration and unemployment registration; Apply for unemployment insurance; Apply for employment training; Apply for labor ability appraisal and enjoy work-related injury insurance benefits; Handling labor and social security affairs online.

3. The agricultural insurance card and the social security card are two different cards and cannot be used universally. There are many differences between the two, such as different payment standards, different levels of treatment enjoyment, different account settings, different coverage of insured persons, different management agencies and different levels of overall planning. Social security is the abbreviation of endowment insurance for urban workers, and the new rural social endowment insurance is a new type of rural social endowment insurance.

This law is based on Article 20 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).

The state establishes and improves the new rural social endowment insurance system.

The new rural social endowment insurance combines individual contributions, collective subsidies and government subsidies.
