The social insurance law covers the main types of risks.

The Social Insurance Law covers the main risk types: pension risk, medical risk, unemployment risk, industrial injury risk and poverty risk.

1, pension risk

The risk of providing for the aged comes from the demand and supply of providing for the aged. From the perspective of pension demand, first, the social pension insurance system in some countries does not cover all the elderly groups, and the elderly outside the system face great pension risks. Second, due to the lack of opportunities for the elderly to share the fruits of social development, the elderly face the risk of a decline in their actual living standards.

2. Medical risks

Medical risks are mainly manifested as disease risks. Disease risk refers to the risk of economic, physiological and psychological losses caused by diseases in the process of human survival. Disease risk can be divided into two categories: one is the narrow sense of disease risk, which refers to the risk caused by human diseases. The second is the generalized disease risk, which refers to the risk caused by social accidents in addition to the risk caused by diseases.

3. Unemployment risk

Under the condition of socialized mass production, the market environment is changeable and the competition among enterprises is fierce. Workers face the risk of unemployment at any time, including two aspects: one is the risk of unemployment, and the other is the risk of falling into poverty because of unemployment.

4. Risk of work-related injuries

The risk of industrial injury exists in the following aspects: First, the personal risk caused by industrial injury, that is, the risk loss of illness, disability and death caused by industrial injury. The second is the external risk caused by work-related injuries, that is, the risk that individuals and families face difficulties in life due to temporary or permanent loss of work ability due to work-related injuries. Third, other risks caused by work-related injuries, such as personal work-related accidents as members of the organization, may lead to the risk of a decline in the efficiency of the organization.

5. Poverty risk

Poverty risk includes two basic contents: one is the risk of income reduction or income opportunity reduction caused by living in poverty, and the other is the risk induced by poverty, such as health risk, survival risk, pension risk and children's education risk.
