Does the unit have the obligation to pay social security?

Legal subjectivity:

According to the labor law, employers must pay social security for employees. Social security is social insurance, including endowment insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and maternity insurance. The first three items are shared by individuals and units, and the last two items are shared by units. Personal participation in social security is limited to two guarantees: endowment insurance and medical insurance. If the unit does not pay, it can go to the labor inspection brigade of the human resources department to report that there will be relevant penalties.

Legal objectivity:

Article 72 of the Labor Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) determines the sources of social insurance funds according to the types of insurance, and gradually implements social co-ordination. Employers and workers must participate in social insurance and pay social insurance premiums according to law. Article 86 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that if the employer fails to pay the social insurance premium in full and on time, the social insurance premium collection agency shall order it to pay or make up within a time limit, and from the date of default, an overdue fine of five ten thousandths shall be charged on a daily basis; Failing to pay within the time limit, the relevant administrative departments shall impose a fine of more than one time and less than three times the amount owed.
