Subsidized funds for employment support policies are collected.

Receiving Pension

Nationwide, 271 prefectures and municipalities (72.8%) have realized inquiries on pension insurance and other pension security benefits; retired seniors in 259 prefectures and municipalities can receive pension with social security cards; 248 prefectures and municipalities have realized applications for pension insurance benefits; 242 prefectures and municipalities have realized qualification certification for receiving benefits; and 210 prefectures and municipalities have realized administrative approval for retirement qualifications.

Claiming Work Injury Insurance Benefits

190 cities and municipalities have realized the query of settlement records of work injury medical fees; 185 cities and municipalities have realized the receipt of work injury allowances; 183 cities and municipalities have realized the recognition of work injuries; 170 cities and municipalities have realized the appraisal of labor capacity; 167 cities and municipalities have realized the receipt of funds for the reimbursement of work injury medical fees; and 152 cities and municipalities have realized the instant settlement of work injury medical fees.

Applying for Unemployment Insurance Benefits

196 prefectures and municipalities (52.7%) have realized the application for unemployment insurance benefits; 194 prefectures and municipalities have realized the inquiry of information on unemployment insurance benefits; 181 prefectures and municipalities have realized the collection of unemployment benefits; and 166 prefectures and municipalities have realized the signing-in of people receiving unemployment benefits.

Enjoying Maternity Insurance

259 prefectures and municipalities (69.6%) have realized the application for maternity insurance benefits; 254 prefectures and municipalities have realized the information query for maternity insurance benefits; 211 prefectures and municipalities have realized the instant settlement of maternity medical fees with cards; and 198 prefectures and municipalities have realized the signing-in of maternity allowances with cards.

Enrollment Inquiry

Nationwide, 299 cities and municipalities (80.4%) have realized the inquiry of individual enrollment information with the card; 282 cities and municipalities have realized the inquiry of enrollment and payment vouchers and their printing; and 225 cities and municipalities have realized the completion of individual social security payment with the card.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China (MOHRSS) is implementing the social security card and deploying the expansion of the application areas of the social security card.

To this end, the ministry has issued a Circular on Loading Financial Functions on Social Security Cards. The social security card loaded with financial functions can be used as a bank card with financial functions such as cash deposit and withdrawal, money transfer and consumption, in addition to the functions of information recording, information inquiry and business handling.
