Which province is Bayannaoer?

Bayannur has Urad grassland in the north, Yinshan Mountain in the middle and Hetao Plain in the south. It belongs to a typical mid-temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 3.7℃ ~ 7.6℃. The territory is rich in mineral resources, wind energy resources and sunshine resources, and the pyrite reserves rank first in China, making it one of the regions with the richest wind energy resources in China.

Bayannaoer Hetao Irrigation District is the largest autonomous irrigation district in Asia. Bayannaoer's Hetao Plain has the reputation of "being in the south of the Yangtze River". The city's organic milk production accounts for more than half of the country, and the export of agricultural and livestock products ranks first in Inner Mongolia, making it the largest plush-free production base in China.

Wulate grassland connects Yinshan Mountain in the south and Mongolian grassland in the north, covering an area of more than 30,600 square kilometers, accounting for about 47% of the city's total area. The terrain inclines from south to north with little fluctuation, and it is a natural grassland. Low mountains and hills are distributed in the middle; Desert and Gobi are widely distributed in the west, and the larger deserts are Bokai Desert and Haloxylon ammodendron shrub.

Yinshan Mountain is located between Hetao Plain and Wulate Grassland, and its south slope is steep, just like a barrier standing in the north of Hetao Plain. The northern slope is gentle and connected with the Urad grassland. The area is nearly 19 100 square kilometers, accounting for 29% of the city's area.
