How to apply for Beijing Children's Health Insurance Card

To apply for the Beijing Children's Health Insurance Card, parents need to bring their child's original birth certificate, their original ID card, a one-inch photo of the baby, the guardian's original ID card, the original household register, a copy of the main page of the household, and a copy of the baby's own page to the social security institution to apply for the card.

Materials for application

1, original family register, 2 copies of the main page of the family, 3 copies of the baby's own page (if there is any change in the information, the change page should also be copied)

Processing time

Be sure to go to the social security office within 90 days of the baby's birth, if not within 90 days of the child's birth, can only be in the annual September 1 - November 30 (centralized enrollment period) to go for the next year from January 1 to December 31 to participate in the payment procedures. In this way, the baby's medical expenses from birth to the end of the current year will not be reimbursed, and in the second year, the outpatient expenses will not be reimbursed, only the hospitalization expenses. Payment account

Parents of student children need to go to the business branch of any bank in the cooperative bank with the social security agency to open a personal settlement account (card or passbook) of the student child or parent and deposit at least one year's health insurance premium (it is recommended to deposit 10 yuan more, i.e. 170 yuan; you can deposit several more years of urban residents' health insurance premiums to avoid forgetting to pay the premiums in the future which will affect the enjoyment of health insurance benefits).

Article 23 of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China

Employees shall participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and shall pay the basic medical insurance premiums by the employing unit and the employees in accordance with the state regulations***.

Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who do not participate in the basic medical insurance for employees at their employing units, and other flexibly employed persons may participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and individuals shall pay the basic medical insurance premiums in accordance with the State regulations.

Article 25

The State establishes and improves the basic medical insurance system for urban residents.

Basic medical insurance for urban residents is a combination of individual contributions and government subsidies. The government shall subsidize the portion of individual contributions required by those who are entitled to the minimum subsistence guarantee, persons with disabilities who have lost the ability to work, and elderly persons over the age of sixty and minors from low-income families.

Article 26

The standards of treatment for basic medical insurance for employees, new rural cooperative medical care and basic medical insurance for urban residents shall be implemented in accordance with national regulations.
