Non-Shanghai residents will no longer be checked for social security when entering or leaving Shanghai.

In the past, household registration personnel from other provinces and cities living in Shanghai were divided into seven different identity categories and could apply for corresponding types of entry and exit documents. When applying, you need to submit proof of paying social insurance for more than one year, proof of attending school, household registration book and other materials. Now, according to the "Regulations on Expanding Non-Shanghai Citizens to Apply for Entry and Exit Documents in Shanghai" newly issued by Shanghai Public Security Bureau, household registration personnel from other provinces and cities living in Shanghai can apply for all kinds of entry and exit documents (except for Hong Kong and Macao residents) with Shanghai residence permit and second-generation ID card, without other certificates, and social security payment will no longer be audited.

Handling materials

1. Submit the Application Form for Ordinary Passport of China Citizens, which is completely filled in and affixed with the applicant's recent bareheaded color photo (48*33mm, with white background).

2, submit the city's household registration book (or the original household registration certificate) and ID card (or temporary id card) copy, and submit the original.

3. The following persons (with specific identities) also need to submit the opinions of the company:

(1) On-the-job and retired city management cadres;

(2) Organs at all levels include workers, youth, women and other people's organizations and middle-level leading cadres of democratic party organs;

(3) Staff members involved in key positions in state politics, economy, security, business secrets, finance, taxation, scientific research, teaching and other organs and state-owned enterprises and institutions;

(4) refer to the staff of the units directly under the central government in Shanghai and other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in Shanghai.

4. If the applicant has previously applied for an ordinary passport of the People's Republic of China (expired), please submit an invalid passport or travel permit from People's Republic of China (PRC) and a copy (if the passport has been lost, it should be declared invalid to the Shanghai Entry-Exit Administration).

5. Submit other materials deemed necessary by the exit-entry administration department of public security.
