Does personal social security generally only include pension and medical care?

Employee pension insurance and medical insurance cannot be paid separately. Whether individual endowment insurance and medical insurance can be paid separately depends on local policies, but in most places, they cannot be paid separately (minors can apply for medical insurance separately).

According to relevant regulations, it is the right of employees and the obligation of enterprises to participate in medical insurance, and enterprises should handle social insurance including medical insurance for employees according to regulations. If you participate in employee insurance, you need to pay five insurances: endowment insurance, medical insurance, work injury insurance, maternity insurance and unemployment insurance.

Therefore, for employees, social security and medical insurance cannot be paid separately. Paying social security includes medical insurance, and enterprises cannot only apply for medical insurance for employees without paying medical insurance. This is illegal.
