How to withdraw money from social security card

The money in the social security card can be withdrawn in the following ways:

1. The social security card has a financial account. After activation, it can be used as a bank card. The insured needs to deposit money into it by himself. The way to withdraw money is the same as a bank card. You can get it at the ATM or at the bank counter.

2. Social security cards and medical insurance cards in some areas are the same card, and medical insurance cards are divided into personal accounts and overall accounts. Among them, the money in the overall account must not be taken out, while the money in the personal account can be taken out if it meets one of two conditions:

(1) If the insured person dies, his/her legal heir may apply to the medical insurance service center for withdrawing money from the personal account of the insured person's medical insurance card with the death certificate of the insured person and other materials;

(2) The insured person can apply to the medical insurance service center for withdrawal of the personal account of the medical insurance card with the exit certificate and other materials.

Engaged in insurance activities must abide by laws and administrative regulations, respect social morality, and shall not harm the public interests. The parties to insurance activities shall exercise their rights and perform their obligations in accordance with the principle of good faith. Insurance business is operated by insurance companies established in accordance with this Law and other insurance organizations as stipulated by laws and administrative regulations. No other unit or individual may engage in insurance business.

The State Council insurance supervision and management institutions shall supervise and manage the insurance industry according to law.

The State Council insurance supervision and management institutions shall set up dispatched offices according to the needs of performing their duties. The dispatched offices shall perform the duties of supervision and administration according to the authorization of the insurance supervision and administration institution of the State Council.
