Special social security declaration means that the insured suffers from special diseases.

Special diseases usually include: radiotherapy and chemotherapy for malignant tumors, dialysis treatment for severe uremia, aplastic anemia, decompensated cirrhosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, hemophilia and so on. The scope of specific diseases shall be formulated by local medical insurance departments.

For the insured with special diseases, the hospital will issue the Approval Form for Outpatient Treatment of Special Diseases of Basic Medical Insurance according to the diagnosis and treatment results, and the insured will apply to the social security agency with the approval form, medical records, relevant inspections, laboratory reports and unit certificates.
