Is it illegal for the social security center to disclose user information?

Legal analysis: illegal. Protecting citizens' personal information and privacy is an important part of China's legal provisions. Except under special circumstances stipulated by law, no unit, organization or individual may disclose the obtained information of others. Social security departments that handle social insurance registration according to law should also protect the personal information of social insurance objects.

Legal basis: Article 81 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law, social insurance administrative departments and other relevant administrative departments, social insurance agencies, social insurance premium collection agencies and their staff shall keep the information of employers and individuals confidential according to law and shall not disclose it in any form.
