If the applicant passes the examination, the unemployment insurance benefits shall be paid from the date of his/her registration as unemployed.

Article 15

The agency approves the period of time for which an unemployed person is entitled to receive unemployment insurance benefits on the basis of his/her accumulated contribution time. The accumulated contribution time of an unemployed person is determined in accordance with the following principles:

(1) The deemed contribution time for the length of service calculated in accordance with the state regulations before the implementation of individual payment of unemployment insurance premiums is combined with the time of payment of unemployment insurance premiums after the issuance of the Regulations.

(2) If an unemployed person becomes unemployed again after being re-employed during the period in which he or she receives unemployment insurance premiums, the time for payment of premiums is recalculated, and the period for which he or she receives unemployment insurance premiums may be calculated by combining the period of time for which he or she should have received unemployment insurance premiums for his or her previous unemployment but has not yet received them, but the longest period shall not exceed 24 months. If an unemployed person becomes unemployed again after being re-employed for less than one year during the period of receiving unemployment insurance benefits, he can continue to claim the unemployment insurance benefits that he should have received but has not yet received during his previous unemployment.
