What is the insurance number?

Insurance number is a national unified individual social security number established by the state. This is the citizenship number, also known as the social security number. Social security numbers distinguish between individuals and units. The company's social security number is the social security registration number established by the work unit, which is used to pay social security for employees, and make some inquiries, declarations and statistics according to this social security number. Personal social security number is the login number of the individual or the company that pays for it, and it is also the basis for enjoying the treatment in the future.

If the party concerned uses another person's ID card to pay the fee, the social insurance premium paid shall belong to the ID card owner; Identity card holders cannot open accounts and pay fees in this overall planning area.

Article 58 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law

The employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay.

Employees-free individual industrial and commercial households who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration.

The state establishes a national unified personal social security number. Personal social security number is a citizen's identity number.
