Can social security in Shanghai be transferred to Nanjing?

If men are under the age of 50 and women are under the age of 40 when they first apply for insurance in Shanghai, they can transfer Nanjing's endowment insurance and medical insurance to Shanghai. If you are not sure that you will settle in Shanghai for a long time, I suggest that you don't move yet, and it's not too late to move again when you decide on a long-term working place.

If you want to transfer, take your ID card to the social security department of Nanjing's former insured place to apply for inter-provincial transfer, and the relevant local departments will issue you payment vouchers for endowment insurance and medical insurance, and then you can apply for inter-provincial transfer with your ID card to the social security centers and medical insurance centers in various districts and counties of Shanghai.
