What's the difference between rural insurance and social security?

The insured objects of social security are employees of the payment unit, individual industrial and commercial households without employees, and individual household operators in this area who have not reached retirement age. The insured objects of agricultural insurance are residents with local household registration, over 16 years old (excluding students in school) and not participating in the basic old-age insurance for employees.

2. No payment standard is required.

(Social Security) Endowment insurance for urban workers is paid on a monthly basis, and the payment base is the employee's own salary.

(Agricultural Insurance) Endowment insurance for urban and rural residents shall be paid annually and according to the prescribed amount.

3. Different collection years

The minimum payment period of agricultural insurance is 15 years, and the minimum age for enjoying retirement pension is 60 years for men and 50 years for women. The basic pension for social security residents consists of three parts: basic pension, personal account pension and payment period pension (new item from July 20 14). Persons transferred from residential insurance to old-age care: men over 60 years old and women over 55 years old. Persons directly applying for basic pension: men over 60 years old and women over 55 years old.
