Guangzhou Children's Social Security Handling Process

Children in Guangzhou must register for medical insurance first. Children's guardians need to hold a copy of the children's household registration book and a one-inch photo of the children, fill out the Registration Form of Basic Medical Insurance for Urban Residents in the community neighborhood committee where the household registration is located, and send the registration form to the residents' section of the Municipal Medical Insurance Center for making social security cards and paying medical insurance premiums after being signed and sealed by the handling personnel.

Children's medical insurance needs the following information and processes:

You need to bring your household registration book (a copy of the first page and your child's household registration page), your parents' ID card (a copy of both sides) and an inch photo of your child with a blue background or a red background (if necessary in some places) to the street or community labor security office where your household registration is located to go through the insurance formalities. It takes more than a month from going through the insurance formalities to getting the child's medical insurance card. Generally speaking, children born within 12 months can be insured at any time.
