Guangdong Provincial Local Taxation Bureau collects social insurance premiums.

Although the Social Insurance Law stipulates that social insurance premiums are uniformly collected in China, due to historical reasons, according to the provisions of the Interim Regulations on the Collection and Payment of Social Insurance Fees, the specific collection organs are decided by the municipalities directly under the Central Government and the provincial people's governments. In some areas, it is stipulated to be levied by local tax authorities. At present, there are many drawbacks in the collection of social insurance premiums by the two institutions. In the end, social insurance premiums will be collected by public institutions.
