Don't you have to pay medical insurance if you pay social security?

Paying social security does not mean that you don't have to pay medical insurance.

Social security and medical insurance are two different social insurance systems, each of which bears different security responsibilities. Social security mainly includes endowment insurance, unemployment insurance, industrial injury insurance and maternity insurance, while medical insurance is specially used to pay the medical expenses of the insured. Therefore, even if you have already paid social security, you still need to pay additional medical insurance.

First, the difference between social security and medical insurance

Although social security and medical insurance belong to the social insurance system, the object and scope of protection are different. Social security mainly focuses on the risks of employees in pension, unemployment, work injury and maternity, while medical insurance focuses on providing medical security for the insured and reducing the burden of medical expenses.

Second, the importance of medical insurance

Medical insurance is very important to everyone. In daily life, people will inevitably encounter diseases or injuries, and then they need to pay medical expenses. Medical insurance can reimburse these expenses to a certain extent, thus reducing the economic pressure of individuals and families. In addition, medical insurance also helps to promote the rational use of medical resources and improve the quality of medical services.

Third, the necessity of paying medical insurance.

Although social security provides certain social security for employees, it is limited in terms of medical expenses. Therefore, in order to ensure comprehensive medical security, even if social security has been paid, medical insurance still has to be paid. By paying medical insurance, you can build a better medical security system for yourself and your family.

To sum up:

Paying social security does not mean that you don't have to pay medical insurance. Social security and medical insurance are two different social insurance systems, each of which bears different security responsibilities. In order to ensure comprehensive medical security, we should pay medical insurance and social security.
