According to reports, after the implementation of closed management of personal accounts in this city, the personal account funds of the insured will be freely accessed from the current medical insurance passbook to the special social security card, and the insured can hold the card for real-time settlement when seeing a doctor or buying medicine, and the personal account funds on the social security card can also be accumulated and inherited. After a certain accumulation, the insured can resist risks when suffering from serious illness, so that the medical insurance fund can effectively play the role of medical treatment.

It is understood that most of the current social security cards do not have financial functions. In this regard, the municipal human resources and social security department explained that whether to increase financial functions and realize transactions only through the existing IC chips of social security cards is still under further discussion.
