Can I pay social security if I'm rural?

Rural households, individuals can buy social security.

If you have a unit, you can enroll as a unit. Otherwise, you can only refer to the rural pension insurance. Participants can apply with ID card and hukou book.

In the rural areas, you can participate in the pilot area of rural pension insurance, its payment is based on the net income of local farmers last year as the base, divided into five grades: 100 yuan / 200 yuan / 300 yuan / 400 yuan / 500 yuan. In principle, the more you pay, the more you can receive in the future, and your contributions will increase as your standard of living rises.

Agricultural family members with an individual business license or as a migrant worker can participate in basic pension insurance for urban workers and basic medical insurance for urban workers.

Before transferring back, they need to provide proof of participation and payment issued by the social security agency.

If you have a new employment unit and the unit participates in social insurance, you can transfer the social security relationship to the social security agency where the employment unit participates in social insurance;

If you don't have an employment unit, you can transfer the social security relationship to the social security agency in the district or county where you have your household registration as a flexibly employed person.
