Can private shops buy social security?

Self-employed individuals can pay social security by themselves. But you can only pay endowment insurance and medical insurance. According to the regulations, self-employed, part-time employees and other flexible employees who have not participated in the old-age insurance in the employer can participate in the basic old-age insurance, and individuals pay the basic old-age insurance premium.

Steps to purchase social insurance:

1. Flexible employment

Flexible employees can buy social endowment insurance and basic medical insurance, but they cannot buy work-related injury insurance, unemployment insurance and maternity insurance.

As a flexible employee, paying social security is a way to pay for people who have no fixed work unit, and it needs to be handled at the place where they are registered.

In addition, such people can also find a company that pays social security.

(1) Flexible employees shall register and verify the payment in the service hall of the local social security bureau, and the bank entrusted by the social security bureau shall pay the basic old-age insurance and basic medical insurance.

(2) After the insured handles the relevant registration, he/she will pay the fee to the above-mentioned bank with the Notice of Approval for the Payment of Social Insurance Fees for Flexible Employees.

2. Individual industrial and commercial households

Individual industrial and commercial households can pay social security in two ways.

(1) If you have registered your business license and organization code, you can use these two certificates to directly purchase social security from the Social Security Bureau and apply for a social security account, and then pay social security for yourself through this account.

(2) If only the industrial and commercial business license is registered, and the organization code is not registered, you cannot directly go to the Social Security Bureau to pay social security, but you can pay social security as a flexible employee. For details, please refer to the Regulations on Flexible Employment Insurance.

(3) The social insurance premium paid by the self-employed is determined by the average wage of the local society. 65,438+02% of the premium paid goes into the overall account, and 8% goes into the personal account, and must be paid for at least 65,438+05 years.

Legal basis:

Paragraph 2 of Article 10 of the Social Insurance Law

It is stipulated that "individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic old-age insurance in the employer and other flexible employees can participate in the basic old-age insurance, and individuals pay the basic old-age insurance premium.
