How do fresh graduates apply for social security? My company is in Nanjing. How do new employees buy insurance? What's the procedure?

1. Go to the Employment Management Center to apply for an employment permit: provide a copy of graduation certificate, a copy of household registration book and a copy of ID card (temporary residence permit is required for non-Nanjing residents, and marriage and childbirth certificate for floating population is required for women).

2. The Employment Management Center handles personnel recruitment: it provides employment certificates, employment unemployment registration forms and employment rosters (available in the Employment Management Center).

3. Take the employment roster to the Social Security Bureau for social security.

It's best to bring the official seal of the company, just in case.
