Beijing Non-Beijing Newborn Medical Insurance

According to the relevant notice of Beijing Social Security Bureau's Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Measures for Basic Medical Insurance for Urban Residents in Beijing, students with non-agricultural household registration in Beijing, registered in primary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, secondary specialized schools, technical schools, secondary vocational schools, special schools, work-study schools and various ordinary institutions of higher learning (full-time academic education), and children who are under 16 years old in the year of insurance payment.

1. School-age children of overseas Chinese receiving compulsory education in Beijing;

2. Students studying abroad or in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with non-agricultural household registration in Beijing;

3. Beijing non-agricultural household registration, returning college entrance examination students under the age of 22;

4. Students with non-agricultural household registration in Beijing, studying in other provinces and cities and not participating in local public medical care and basic medical insurance;

5. Parents are students and children with non-agricultural household registration in Beijing;

6. Children of persons who have obtained work residence permits in Beijing;

7. Full-time on-the-job non-Beijing students who have received general higher education in various full-time ordinary colleges and universities (including private colleges and universities) and research institutes in Beijing;

8. Students enrolled in Xinjiang classes and Tibetan classes set up in local schools in Beijing and students enrolled in Beijing Tibet Middle School with the approval of the state and relevant departments in Beijing;

9. Children of former educated youth in Beijing, children of postdoctoral staff working in Beijing, children of talents in Beijing, children of returned overseas students, children of Taiwanese businessmen and their compatriots who have invested in Beijing, school-age students who are exempt from borrowing fees and their dependents.

As long as your child meets any of the above requirements, you can go to the Social Security Bureau for consultation and go through the medical insurance procedures for children.

If your child does not meet the above conditions, you can't apply for medical insurance in Beijing, but you can apply for medical insurance at the place where your household registration is located.
