What is the start date for health insurance payment for 2021?

The centralized payment period for urban and rural residents' health insurance for the year 2023 is from September 1 to December 31, 2022.

(i) Continuous enrollment and contribution. Urban and rural residents should pay the basic medical insurance premiums for the new year from September 1 to December 31 of each year to enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits for the new year.

(2) Initial enrollment contributions. For those who join the insurance for the first time, if they pay the basic medical insurance premiums for the new year from September 1 to December 31 of each year, they will enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits of the new year; if they pay the basic medical insurance premiums for the current year from January 1 to June 30 of the current year, they will enjoy the basic medical insurance benefits of the new year starting from the first day of the following month after they pay the basic medical insurance premiums in full.

(3) Interruption of insurance contributions. Those who have interrupted their contributions for more than one year and renewed their insurance coverage will be entitled to new basic medical insurance benefits from the first day of the third month after they have paid the full amount of basic medical insurance premiums for the current year.

(4) Late enrollment and payment. For urban and rural residents who pay the premiums late, after paying the full amount of basic medical insurance premiums for the current year, they will start enjoying the newly-occurred basic medical insurance treatment from the first day of the following month.
