Peng Ming's personal data

Peng Ming (1924-2008), a native of Xiayi, Henan Province, is a famous contemporary Marxist historian and educator. Before his death, he was a professor in the Department of CPC History at the School of Marxism of Renmin University of China and a doctoral supervisor in the Department of Political Science at the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China.

Peng Ming was attached to Renmin University of China all his life. 1945 studied in the Department of Historical Geography, School of Education, North China United University, the predecessor of China Renmin University. 1947, 1948 studied under Hu Hua and Fan Wenlan in North China United University, and studied as a graduate student in North China University. 1949, teaching assistant of revolutionary history in China. 1950 China Renmin university has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in China Renmin university since its establishment. 1983 was awarded as a professor of the history of the CPC, and 1986 was awarded as a doctoral supervisor. Since 2002, he has been a doctoral supervisor of political science theory major in the Institute of International Relations, and was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor of China Renmin University" in 2005. Mr. Peng Ming used to be a member of the Academic Committee of Renmin University of China, a member of the National Planning Group of Party History and Party Building in Philosophy and Social Sciences, an executive vice president and honorary president of the Modern History Society of China, a president of the History Research Society of Huangpu Military Academy, a director of the Chinese Yanhuang Culture Research Society and a member of the Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference. He has been employed as part-time professor, visiting professor and invited researcher by many universities and research institutes in China. Mr. Peng Ming is the pioneer of the doctoral program of political theory major in China Renmin University, and is recognized as an academic master in the history of the May 4th Movement, the history of modern political thought in China and the history of the Republic of China.
