Employment orientation of hydrology and water resources engineering: graduates can engage in surveying, planning and design, forecasting, management, technical and economic analysis, teaching and basic theoretical research in hydrology, water resources and environmental protection.

Employment direction

(1) The most relevant unit should be the local hydrology and water resources survey bureau, but the local (water conservancy) design institute is generally the one with the best benefit;

(2) From the Ministry of Water Resources, major river basin committees to local water resources departments and bureaus, recruitment is generally conducted every year in the form of civil servants and institutions, including the Hydrological Bureau mentioned in (1);

(3) Water conservancy construction enterprises, from the major water conservancy engineering bureaus of China Hydropower Group to various provinces and cities, generally have water conservancy construction units, but the general construction conditions are relatively difficult;

(4) Geological direction, although all of them are called hydrology and water resources engineering majors, the emphasis of different institutions is different. Many graduates who are mainly groundwater enter hydrogeological units, and the income of hydrogeological industry is generally good.

⑤ Other, the basic discipline of water conservancy, some fields and positions may not be very rich in income, so if you have special skills or have a preference for other industries, you don't have to stick to your major.
