Why is Xiamen Airport called Yuanxiang Airport?

The airport is called Yuanxiang Airport because:

Yuanxiang (Xiamen) International Airport Co., Ltd. is the first airport listed company in China civil aviation system. Established by Xiamen Ye Xiang Group Co., Ltd., it has become the main operator and airport management organization of Xiamen Airport.

The company successfully went public in 2004, further consolidating its leading position in Xiamen Airport. Therefore, Xiamen Airport is called Yuanxiang Airport to commemorate its special historical background as the first airport listed company in China civil aviation system and the leading position and contribution of Xiamen Ye Xiang Group.
