Excuse me, are you a student of Southern University of Posts and Telecommunications? Because I want to know about the data structure of this school. I am a graduate student.

First of all, I am honored to share my job hunting experience with you. Job hunting is not only the process of finding a job, but also the process of growing up. In this process, you will not only be asked various interview questions, but also accumulate and improve your knowledge reserve. You will also meet various interviewers and experience different types of interviews to improve your communication skills. I will introduce my position, preparation, interview experience and post-work experience in the process of job hunting from the following aspects.

First, the orientation before job hunting:

1, location

I personally value the workplace the most. It depends on the individual, of course. Because I am from Jiangsu, I also study in Jiangsu, and my home is in Nanjing, so I hope to stay in Nanjing unless there are better companies in other cities. The choice of work place should be positioned before looking for a job: because it is impossible for a company to choose two places when submitting a resume; It's also a waste of time to submit resumes all over the country, so you'd better focus on it.

2. Company

My undergraduate and graduate students are both communication majors in Nanyou University. My undergraduate major is communication engineering, and my postgraduate major is signal and information processing. The initial positioning is, of course, general communication vendors. My expectations are Ericsson, Trend, Alang, ZTE and Huawei, which generally enroll more students in our school. At that time, I thought it was not particularly difficult to get into the exam.

In the choice of industry, you will generally choose a company that suits your major, but this is not the case in the process of finding a job. Ability is enough, and the major doesn't need to be particularly suitable (our company also has a chemistry major). Choosing a company needs to consider the prospect of this company and have a long-term vision; Secondly, consider whether you can accept the corporate culture of the company. Maybe it will be empty, but it is really important. If the company culture does not agree, it will be unhappy and there will be no good development. Finally, it depends on whether you like the atmosphere of the company, such as the working environment (some companies have a crowded working environment) and the working system (fixed or not).

3. Postal service

A company can basically only submit one resume, that is, only one position, so before looking for a job, it is necessary to locate the nature of the expected job: research and development, testing, sales, etc. Secondly, the position you are looking forward to is generally what you like, which is also helpful for your future career development. At the same time, the written test and interview can be prepared in a unified way.

4. Salary

At present, social pressure is relatively high, and wages are not entirely out of consideration, but I think this is not a priority. It depends mainly on the increase, and it is not enough to look at the starting salary.

Second, knowledge and ability preparation before job hunting

In fact, I didn't do much preparation in the whole job search process, mainly in the following aspects:

1, written test

A. If you are doing technology, it is essential for programmers to interview classics; You can also look at software engineer textbooks and network engineer textbooks;

B the B.IT industry generally includes related computer networks, linux operating systems, databases, shell, etc.

C. Communication principles, codes, signals and 3G mobile network knowledge in the communication industry.

D. I'm basically not going to take the exam, but I need to look at the exam methods, software development cycle and other related knowledge;

E. the focus is on the written test topics of various companies over the years. Practice is good. On the one hand, you can learn about the company's key products, on the other hand, you are better than looking for a needle in a haystack by yourself.

Step 2 interview

It is said that the interviewer decided whether to want you or not within 30 seconds, so the first impression is very important.

Personally, I think dress is the most important thing in the interview. It is best to buy a suit shirt that fits, and boys can wear ties; Girls can wear pants or skirts. If it's a skirt, they need to wear socks. Dress reflects the personal attention to this interview, regardless of ability, attitude is more important.

There must be a factor in the interview, that is, psychological quality. Of course, this can be accumulated with the increase of interview experience. You can find one or two big companies (mainly locations) that are not within your choice to try and accumulate experience. Be sincere in the interview.

When I interviewed, I personally felt that the group face performed better, and several group faces scored high. There are many things to consider in group meeting, which is also the most cruel interview. Interviewers will often ask you who you think is the worst and who is the best. To answer this question well, you can find some tutorial videos online.

3. Internship experience

Many students should have internship experience, which is very valuable and equivalent to work experience. Especially in similar companies, those with internship experience can basically work directly. The same is true of project experience. Just think about what you have done before the interview, what your contribution is, and what your colleagues and leaders have commented on you. Just make it clear during the interview.

Third, job hunting experience

Throughout my job search, I was basically a company in Nanjing, and there were few foreign companies (QQ, Alibaba, Baidu, Yahoo). I have invested in about 20 companies (including ZTE, Huawei, Alang, Ericsson, Trend, Provincial Telecom, Nanjing Mobile, Nanrui, Neusoft, Chengmai Technology, Yahoo, QQ, 360, Alibaba and Baidu). Except Yahoo, QQ and Provincial Telecom, there is no written notice. Of course, due to the problem of time and energy, I gave up two of them, and finally four of them got the offer: Baidu, Nanjing Mobile, Nanrui and Alang, and the ratio should be 20%.

I also looked for an internship company before. At that time, the purpose was very simple, just to save experience, and the result was not the most important. Some points to pay attention to in the process of job hunting:

1, resume. Resume is a stepping stone for every job seeker. It doesn't need to be too fancy, concise and clear, as long as it can highlight its own advantages. Many students will use colorful resumes, which I personally think is unnecessary; Don't have too much content on your resume. If there are too many, we must grasp the content. At that time, I created a lot of 2.5 pages. The main work experience and project manager wrote a little more, but later I deleted it. When introducing experience, I think it is better to use the structure of total-division-middle.

2. written test. In fact, I am not fully prepared for the written test, especially in the later stage. Besides the programming language, I also need to know some scripts and computer commands. When writing a written test, I suggest you don't leave blank. If you can't, write something (except fill in the blanks). At least you've thought about it and expressed your opinion. Just like at work, you can put forward opinions and discuss them, which shows that your attitude is more serious.

3. Interview. The matters needing attention in the interview have already been said. I will focus on those who can accumulate experience in the interview.

When I was officially looking for a job, the first one I interviewed should actually be Baidu. Because I voted for an internship before, I didn't go to the interview later (because I was interviewing in Beijing). When the follow-up school recruitment officially started, I called for an interview in advance. It was still August, and there was not much preparation. At that time, I was also holding a try attitude, so I sorted out my internship and learned some basic knowledge of technology. You need to find a quiet place when you are at the electric surface, otherwise it will have a bad influence. Baidu's interviewers are very good. Ask more about internships and project experiences, mainly depending on what you know and what kind of mentality you won't report. Basically, to tell the truth, just be modest. The first two parties are technical interviews, and we only received three notices on September 20. At that time, the interview period of ZTE Huawei was just right, and the three parties were going to Beijing for an interview (the school recruitment interview had not yet begun). After consulting with Baidu, I confirmed that I could go for a few days, and I agreed. Good.

ZTE's interview has two sides. The first side is technology, and I asked about related technical things. Because I was an intern in A Lang before, it's basically not difficult to ask. Of course some won't, so I'll tell the truth. However, ZTE's interview is a bit tragic. On the one hand, an interviewer went to dinner and didn't sign it for me later, which led to my interview results being thrown into the "missing" column. Then I called to ask. After many twists and turns, 9-2 1 was ushered in, but the interview process was not very pleasant, and the result was of course not. However, it can be said that ZTE's dual nature really taught me that the interview is actually two-sided. Perhaps the job seeker is at a disadvantage on the surface, that is, the employment pressure is relatively high now; In fact, it is also the time for candidates to interview the company. Many times they need to say no, and they don't need to cater to everything in the company. You can refuse because you don't like the company culture or because of the interviewer. In my values, the employees who come out for interviews on behalf of the company reflect the culture and level of the company to some extent. If the company doesn't think so, why did it choose him as the interviewer? Isn't it unfair in talent training and development? (The above is purely a personal opinion ~ ~)

Baidu's three faces (the last face) are non-technical. Asked me about my career planning (this is more important, everyone needs to prepare), my understanding of the position I applied for and the company, my future plans (here generally refers to whether non-local students will settle down locally) and so on. The time lasted about 1 hour. About 10 days later, I got Baidu's offer. At that time, my heart was both happy and tangled. Happily, I finally got my first job, and I am still a very good unit. What is tangled is the reason of the location. At that time, I regretted not reporting to Shanghai. So I've been looking for a job.

Tell me about the interview link I am good at: group meeting. Group interview, I believe many people are worried that group interview is the most cost-saving interview method for the company. On the one hand, we can fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of students, on the other hand, we can save interview time. In fact, I didn't have any tricks, but I did well in two group meetings (Huawei and Nanjing Mobile), and later I found that it was just that. You don't have to be a leader when you have a group meeting. You should learn to say the right thing and do the right thing at the right time. The allocation and choice of roles often reflect a person's true character, so there is no need to do too many fake actions, because the interviewer can see clearly as a bystander. However, there are several points to pay attention to: grasping the time, paying attention to the goal and being good at summing up.

(1) I'm not a good idea person, so I won't talk nonsense, but there will always be something in the team. I will sum up other people's opinions and improve them with some of my own ideas.

(2) Also, everyone will introduce themselves when they meet in groups. At this time, you need to make proper records and observe the interviewer's reaction.

(3) If your statement lags behind others, it is not necessarily bad. You can repeat it, but you can make a difference and polish it a little.

(4) When asking who has the best (or worst) performance, I personally feel that I should not talk about myself (unless it is really good or bad). When discussing others, you need to point out their advantages and then talk about their shortcomings. Don't say others are useless. Such people have poor teamwork ability. After all, after work, you are not fighting alone.

Say two state-owned enterprises: Nanjing Mobile and Nanrui. The interview of Nanjing Mobile has two sides, only three minutes without meeting, half a minute to introduce myself and then ask questions. The questions asked are very common, and basically don't ask about technology. Ask how many offer there are, why do you come when you have a job, and so on. I am telling the truth. As for why I came here, my answer is simple and true: the location and the nature of my work. Nanrui's interview includes technical aspects. In fact, with previous experience, these are all fine.

More importantly, the interviewer will ask you: Is there anything you want to know? It's best not to say no, but to get to know it a little bit. From the previous conversation, you should be able to estimate the position and role of the interviewer. You can ask some related questions, which will make you feel more interested and deepen his influence.

A Lang had been an intern for a long time before, so she took part in three projects, and there was no problem in the final interview. Foreign companies pay more attention to English, and many people will prepare a super fluent self-introduction and so on. Preparation is necessary, but you don't need to be particularly fluent, or you will be exposed later. As long as the speech speed is normal and the dialogue is natural, practice oral English in advance, express naturally and have a correct attitude.

Fourth, the experience after work

Among the above four offer, the reason for choosing Baidu is also complicated, mainly considering the nature of work, location and future career development, and finally choosing Baidu.

After I came to Baidu, I had more experiences and insights. The HR of the company is very considerate. During the presentation, seats were arranged in the large conference room, and personal things were placed on each seat, which was orderly. After meeting the master and the manager at the station, I got to know everyone, and everyone was very enthusiastic. In Baidu, there is basically a name between leaders and subordinates, and there is no corporate politics, which is more suitable for me. My personality determines that I won't play tricks. The students in the group are all very good and get to know each other quickly. After a long time, I found that the atmosphere of the team was good and fun. Our slogan is to enjoy work and enjoy life. After work, different roles have different responsibilities. Everyone will gradually understand after work. This is life ~
