Before, I worked as a designer in a private advertising company. Because he has his own printing factory, printing here is basically free for customers. Once the design is free, it becomes worthless, and most of them are aimed at middle and low-end customers. Only these customers will cooperate with us. Therefore, many problems have arisen. Customers repeatedly compete for demonstrations, and several schemes have to be designed for a project, which is often the ugliest one. It is difficult to communicate with customers because of their limited education and aesthetics. Coupled with some stubbornness and bad temper, we are only passive. Usually, we often see some customers bring manuscripts designed by other companies for us to copy. For us, it is easy to have no creativity and brains, but think about it carefully. Will our designs be copied by customers elsewhere? Suddenly we feel like clowns being played, at the mercy of others, forcing a smile.

One day, I was in charge of the recruitment of a designer. Many people came early in the morning and asked them to fill out their resumes first. Then I saw: XXX, male, junior college, XXX Academy of Fine Arts, excellent cadre, two years of work experience, salary requirement of 2000 yuan ... Look at his image, sunny, handsome, with long hair and very designer temperament. I asked him some basic questions: "What are the three primary colors of light?" He answered casually and positively: "Red, yellow and blue". God, how can RGB be red, yellow and blue? At this time, I began to wonder how he learned art classes. Ask again: "How to compile a 30-page album?" I really doubt his work experience. It is impossible to make up a page with 30 pages. I asked again, "What software can you use?" "Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Word, Excel" I want to say all the Office series software, so you can say "Well, you can design a business card for this company to see your strength". He agreed, and I went to see it 40 minutes later. I'm completely disappointed. The size is not standard, the background color changes greatly, the logo is rough, and the words are extremely uncoordinated, let alone the style. "You'd better go home and wait for the notice." It's really hard to imagine that his looks and abilities are so far apart. Either he didn't study hard at school at all, or his understanding was poor, so he was not suitable for designing this bowl of rice in cooperation.

Until the end, it was a girl who claimed to have just graduated, and she was sincere. After reading her works, I think she is a student and has no business atmosphere, but she is very creative. After listening to his explanation of his ideas and creativity, she felt that not all recent college students were "rubbish". Then let her design business cards on the computer, but it is also useful. I thought she would give him a job opportunity and exercise more. Maybe he can really achieve great things in the future. After that, I told my boss about my resume and situation, and the boss insisted on refusing, saying, "No matter how good the creativity is, I have no experience and don't know how to print it." Why do I need it? " I have no choice but to apologize to her. When I saw her to the door, she turned to me and asked, "Really?" I really want to have a job, so give me a chance. I will pour tea and water, clean up, and go out to deliver manuscripts. I have been unemployed for a long time ... "After listening to her words, I am very sad. The society is so cruel and it is really so difficult for graduates." I'm really sorry. Some of us do what you said. I have no right to hire you or not. "After he left, my heart couldn't be calm for a long time and I thought a lot ... Graduates have no experience and can only accumulate experience at work, but employers must have experience. He doesn't want to spend time training new people. Isn't this a contradiction? In this way, graduates can't find suitable jobs, and enterprises can't find suitable employees.

We haven't found a suitable candidate for these three days of recruitment, either inexperienced or demanding, and the boss is also very headache, and there are not enough people to do the job. Finally, we decided to let the female college students who graduated this year try. After receiving the notice, she came earlier than me the next day. I talked to her about work problems and discipline. Speaking of salary, he bit his lip and reluctantly agreed, because I knew the salary was too low to speak. Although she doesn't understand many things, she is very talented, savvy, making rapid progress, and has good personal cultivation and discipline. From now on, we will work overtime almost every day. I will meet a rather difficult customer at the latest until 4 am and 9 am. Sometimes even one day's holiday every week will be cancelled unconditionally. There will always be endless work in the company, but my salary has never reached 2000, and the deposit of 10% is deducted every month. Until one day, the company had an emergency. Because of this girl's typography error, 15000 albums were all invalidated, resulting in a direct loss of nearly 30 thousand. The boss was furious and claimed that she would pay half of the compensation and deduct my salary for one month. I dare to complain about my punishment, just wondering who will pay for this half? The girl was scared to cry. A few days later, the boss talked to us. He said: "I support you, pay you, and you give me trouble." Finally, let me wipe your ass. What should I do? " We are speechless. He thought for a moment: "you are still children, so I will give you a chance." The person in charge will be deducted three months' salary, and the joint person will be deducted one month's salary. "Just when we were all confused, the boss called me:" Xiaoyan, don't get me wrong about this. I'll deduct your money today and give it to you tomorrow. As for that girl, she will deduct his salary for one month and let him go. "After that, my heart is a mess. What kind of management is this? One is ahead, the other is behind, and the punishment system is constantly changing with his mood. To tell the truth, we are designers, not computer operators or draftsmen. What we pay is art and knowledge, not handwork. It can't be said that we are not responsible. In fact, the company does not have a special proofreader to check. Are people who really design "cheap"? Or is the work without "value"? Or is there another reason?

I believe that every designer is deeply touched by these problems, because they are also the most concerned issues for designers today. Of course, it is also an inevitable problem. The income of designers in major developed countries such as Britain, France, Germany, the United States and Australia. Above average. In Australia, for example, the status and income of a designer are basically the same as that of a lawyer, while in China, the status and income of a designer are far from that of a lawyer on the premise of the same education and ability.

In order to improve the quality of the whole people, improve the cultural and educational level of China people, and accelerate the pace of development, the State Council, China adopted the method of expanding the enrollment of colleges and universities. According to statistics, 800,000 students entered school in 2005. As a result, college students flooded in from all directions and set up colleges, and the city began to become crowded. Many people made a fortune when they were students, but who has considered the problems of these students after graduation? According to statistics, the demand rate of the talent market in 2006 was 20% lower than that of that year, so there may be 1 10,000 graduates in China, including about 250,000 art graduates. Getting this figure means that many designers who have no work experience or are in the development stage will enter the market and compete with us. The talent market is saturated, so the labor force is cheap, and China people don't know enough about the word design at present, so the design industry will lead to the four problems mentioned above. Don't be depressed. The world is always dominated by talented people. As long as you are strong, you will succeed. For example, Chen Youjian, whom I admired for several days, is known as the "Jackie Chan" in the design field, and it was also made step by step. Not that design has no way out. Think about the way out.

Most of the best design works in the world today come from Europe and Japan. The culture and design styles in Europe are quite different from ours, while those in Japan are closer. The reason why it radiates to developed cities such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and other provinces far or near, and then it is washed away by China culture in Hong Kong and Taiwan and radiated to developed coastal cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, and then it reaches the central and northwest regions of China after being washed away by culture. At this point, this so-called new design idea has been unrecognizable and fragmented. In this way, China's design will become very passive, and we will grow slowly year by year, and it is even more impossible to surpass each other.

As a designer, it's really hard to find your own way of survival, position and market recognition under the current situation in China. China has opened the door to the outside world and made great progress. Our great Chinese nation can complete the 50-year development of the world in 10 years. Industry and technology are developing rapidly, but our thinking is still very backward. It is difficult to improve people's thinking. Many, many histories can create a little culture, and many cultures can create a little civilization. I think-maybe that's why we are behind the developed countries.

My purpose is not to complain, nor to ask everyone not to do design in the future, but to let everyone have a deeper understanding of the status quo of the design industry until they know themselves and grasp their own lives.
