What are the factors that determine the damage of packaging cartons?

There are always some problems in the use of packaging cartons, such as damage, such as bulging, which brings a lot of trouble to loading. Now Chongqing Plastics Factory will analyze the causes and solutions of these problems according to its own processing reasons. First, the cause of the problem (1) Fat bag or bulge 1. The height of the tile is the highest. Although the same paper has good vertical pressure resistance, it is not as good as type B and C. After the products are packed into A-tile cartons, the cartons will be subjected to horizontal and vertical vibration during transportation, and the repeated impact between the packaging and the cartons will make the walls of the cartons thin, resulting in fat or bulging. 2. The influence of finished product shovel stacking When products are stacked in the finished product warehouse, they will generally pile up very high, usually two shovels high. In the process of stacking cartons, the strength change of cartons, especially the bottom cartons, is a "creep" process, which shows that a relatively stable load acts on cartons for a long time, and cartons will continue to bend and deform under static load. If the static pressure is kept for a long time, the cartons will collapse and be damaged, so the cartons piled on the bottom of the shovel will often expand and some will be crushed. When the carton is subjected to vertical pressure, the center deformation of the carton surface is the largest, and the creases after crushing are parabolic and bulging. The test shows that when the corrugated box is compressed, the strength at the four corners is the best, and the strength at the midpoint of the transverse side is the worst. Therefore, the foot of the upper shovel plate is directly pressed against the middle of the carton, so that a concentrated load is formed in the middle of the carton, which will cause the carton to be broken or permanently deformed. There is also because the gap of the shovel plate is too wide, and the corners of the carton fall in, which will cause the carton to be hypertrophy or bulging. 3. The height of cartons for carbonated beverage boxes and water tanks is generally determined as the height of bottles with contents plus about 2mm. Due to the long-term static load, impact, vibration and bump during transportation, the wall thickness of the carton becomes thinner and its height increases a part, which makes the height of the carton much higher than that of the bottle, thus making the carton hypertrophy or bulging more obvious. (2) A large number of damaged cartons are mainly caused by the following factors: 1. The size design of the carton is unreasonable. The length, width and height of the carton have a great relationship with the damage of the carton. The size of the carton is generally determined according to the number of bottles to be filled and the height of the bottles. The box length is the number of bottles in the long direction × the bottle diameter, the box width is the number of bottles in the wide direction × the bottle diameter, and the box height is basically the bottle height. The perimeter of the four sides of the box is equivalent to the whole side wall supporting the pressure load of the carton. Generally speaking, the longer the circumference, the higher the compressive strength, but this increase is disproportionate. If the perimeter of the four sides is too large, that is, there are many bottles in the contents, the gross weight of the whole box will be large, and the requirements for cartons will be high. It is necessary to have high compressive strength and bursting resistance to ensure the performance of cartons, otherwise cartons are more likely to be damaged during circulation. In the market, the pure water tank of 596mL ×24 bottles is the most seriously damaged among all cartons, because it is heavy in wool and easy to be damaged in the circulation process. When the length and width of cartons are the same, the height has a great influence on the compressive strength of empty cartons. Under the condition that the perimeter of the four sides of the carton is unchanged, the compressive strength decreases by about 20% with the increase of the height of the carton. 2. The thickness of corrugated board can't meet the requirements. Because the corrugated roller will be worn in use, the thickness of corrugated board can not meet the specified requirements, which makes the compressive strength of the carton lower and the strength of the carton will also decrease. 3. The corrugated cardboard produced by the corrugated deformation of the carton itself is soft, with low plane strength and rigidity, and the corrugated cardboard made of this cardboard has low compressive strength and puncture strength. Because the shape of corrugated board is directly related to the compressive strength of corrugated board. Corrugation shapes are generally divided into u-shaped, v-shaped and UV-shaped. U-shape has good ductility, elasticity and high energy absorption. Within the elastic limit, it can still return to its original state after eliminating the pressure, but the flat compression strength is not high because of the unstable arc focus. V-shape has less contact with paper, poor adhesion and easy peeling. With the help of the resultant force of two diagonal lines, it has good rigidity and high flat compressive strength. However, if the external force exceeds the pressure limit, the stare blankly shape will be destroyed and cannot be recovered after the pressure is eliminated. UV type has the advantages of the above two types, with high compressive strength, good elasticity and strong elastic recovery ability, and is an ideal type. 4. Unreasonable design of cardboard layers in cartons will lead to an increase in the damage rate of outer packaging cartons. Therefore, the number of cardboard layers used in cartons should be considered according to the weight, nature, stacking height, storage and transportation conditions, storage time and other factors of the packaged goods. 5. The adhesive strength of cartons is poor. To judge whether the carton is well bonded, just tear the bonding surface by hand. If the base paper is found to be peeling off, it means that the paper is well bonded; If it is found that there is no torn paper fiber or white powder at the cold front bonding point, it means that it is false bonding, which will cause low compressive strength of the carton and affect the strength of the whole carton. The adhesive strength of cartons is related to the grade of paper, the preparation of adhesive, manufacturing equipment and technological operation. 6. The printing design of cartons is unreasonable. The corrugated shape and structure of corrugated board determine the endurance of corrugated board. Printing will cause some damage to corrugated cardboard, and the size of pressure and bearing area are the main factors affecting the compressive strength of cartons. If the printing pressure is too high, it is easy to crush the corrugated and reduce the height of the corrugated. Especially when printing on the stamping line, in order to carry out forced cleaning on the stamping line, the whole cardboard will be crushed and the compressive strength of the carton will be greatly reduced, so try to avoid printing here. When the carton is full or printed around, in addition to the pressing effect of the embossing roller on the corrugated board, ink will also penetrate into the paper surface, reducing the compressive strength of the carton. Generally, when the carton is fully printed, the compressive strength decreases by about 40%.
