What does h mean?

H (capital) and H (lowercase) are the eighth letters of the Latin alphabet. The appearance of H may be due to the symbol of a fence, which appeared in Semitic characters very early-Sinai Peninsula in about 1500 BC.

The symbols H and H have different meanings in different disciplines: in chemistry, H stands for hydrogen; In geometry, lowercase h stands for height.
