Do you really need an undergraduate degree to become a monk?

Shaolin Temple requires monks to have a bachelor's degree or above (graduate students are preferred).

1. Being a monk is becoming a monk. You must be voluntary, pious, patriotic and law-abiding.

2. The written materials agreed by parents and the original ID card account book are physically and mentally healthy.

3. There is no debt problem, no criminal violation of national laws or ongoing litigation, and no criminal record.

4. Unmarried, at least 18 years old, but no more than 60 years old, with no special requirements for academic qualifications.
