How is Hebei University of Science and Technology?

Comprehensive universities are generally good, at least literally. The literal data of each item are quite high.

But as a senior who is commemorating his graduation, I am responsible for analyzing HKUST with you.

When looking at a school, I think of three aspects:

1. Hardware and software

The environment of HKUST is nothing but beautiful. Jianxin Campus is beautiful. So much money was spent that all the money for experimental equipment was squeezed out. Take the School of Materials Science for example, there are only a few modern equipments, and many of them are outdated. It is difficult to conduct experiments with such equipment, let alone conduct scientific research. It took me nearly half a month to find equipment for my graduation project experiment before I finally found the makeshift equipment (as long as it can be used, I don’t need to be precise, there really isn’t any)

Software, I don’t even want to talk about it. Teachers, no. I studied materials. In our major, we only have one department head who is a polished commander. We used to have a few good backbone teachers. One is a national-level outstanding teacher and a very good teacher. Unfortunately, he was rehired from retirement. The other is because of administration or connections in the college. Due to the pressure from other aspects, I got a Ph.D. from Nanjing University, but I was squeezed out by a very good teacher. It's very annoying. The scientific research and teaching teachers in the college seem to be doing nothing but paper work

2. Employment rate

The most directly related to our students. I started looking for a job in November 2008 and encountered numerous rejections. The answers given to me by most of the better companies were “Hebei Science and Technology, where is it? I’ve never heard of it!” or “This is our school. "Don't consider it" etc.

It's chilling. I attended the job fair of Hebei University of Technology, which was quite important. Hebei Iron and Steel Group, Shougang, and other well-known large companies across the country were all present. The student who signed it was happy, but it was not as good as a few of us (a few HKUST students who took the train to attend the job fair). Don’t think that the admission score of Hebei University of Technology is high. A female classmate of my classmate entered Hebei University of Technology with a score 2 points lower than him in the college entrance examination. However, she got into Jiangsu Shagang University and surpassed the top 50 companies. When the University of Science and Technology of China held a job fair, we came to some companies, such as beauticians, salesmen, and community security properties. I cao ta uncle, it was insulting to my personality (if I lied, I would be struck to death by lightning immediately). Not a single company from Tangshan came (I’m from Tangshan). Hebei Iron and Steel Group came, but it didn’t recruit people, which is insulting! It's insulting. But I, a classmate from the University of Science and Technology, went through a lot of trouble to enter the Great Wall of Baoding (a famous sweatshop). At HKUST, if you study chemical engineering and pharmaceuticals, come on. It's easy to find a job, as there are many pharmaceutical and chemical companies in Shijiazhuang (the reason why Shijiazhuang is so polluted and life is so short-lived). There’s no need to learn anything else!

Company recruitment attaches great importance to the geographical location of the school. You said that there are no big industrial and mining companies in Shijiazhuang, so those who want to study machinery should go elsewhere. If you major in economics and management, go to Economics and Trade, and if you major in grammar, go to Normal University in Economics and Trade.

UST is big but not sophisticated, so much so that well-known recruitment companies don’t know how to manage finance from UST, and all the recruiters recruit are small businesses in Shijiazhuang. Company, selling insurance, being a promoter, insulting personality...

3. Popularity

Not to mention, they all went to Beijing and Tianjin to take the postgraduate entrance examination, who would mention their own? Undergraduate school, Jia Qinglin graduated from the University of Science and Technology, did he mention it? They are all from Beijing University of Science and Technology and Central South University. Upon closer inspection, they are all from the University of Science and Technology. It's human nature, don't blame the students. It’s the school’s inability to train them well. A school that doesn't produce some good undergraduates or big shots won't be famous. Why are Normal University and Hebei University of Technology so well-known? A number of their businesses are active in academic and production enterprises. How can they not be so well-known?

Finally, I recommend you to go to Hebei University of Technology, because the city of Shijiazhuang has little development prospects. Will a city with little development prospects produce a promising school?

It is not a problem to find a job at Hebei University of Science and Technology, a university affiliated with the University of Science and Technology. Don’t think that Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital, is stronger. Even three Shijiazhuangs cannot match Tangshan.

I have lived in Shijiazhuang for four years and studied at the University of Science and Technology for four years. I love Shijiazhuang and I love my alma mater.

But they couldn't give me enough nutrition, so I had to leave.
