Yanhuang Vocational and Technical College is a private university.

The school is a full-time private college founded by Zhiping Jiang, a Taiwanese compatriot, educator and patriotic industrialist from Lianshui, approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and officially put on record by the Ministry of Education.

The college implements the national unified enrollment plan and issues college diplomas supervised by the Ministry of Education, which are electronically registered and available online. The college was established in 1999. At present, the campus covers an area of 206,000 square meters, with a school building area of nearly120,000 square meters, a collection of about 230,000 books and more than 600 Chinese and foreign periodicals.

The college has three-year and five-year majors, with six departments: architectural engineering department, mechanical and electrical information engineering department, economic management department, fashion design department, automobile engineering department and leisure and sightseeing department.

There are 35 majors, including automobile inspection and maintenance, computer application and maintenance, electronic information engineering, construction engineering technology, mechatronics technology, accounting, tourism management, applied English, character image design and flight attendant, covering five disciplines such as science, engineering, economics, management and literature, and covering seven major professional post groups such as manufacturing, civil engineering, electronic information, finance, tourism, transportation and education.

There are 88 classes, more than 4,000 students, 220 faculty members, full-time and part-time teachers 192, including 59 senior titles, 35 graduate students and 62 double-qualified teachers. A teaching team with full-time teachers as the main body, reasonable structure and excellent quality has been initially formed.

Since its establishment, 19 has trained more than 4000 graduates for the society, and has become an important base for training talents in higher vocational colleges in northern Jiangsu and Huai 'an, making outstanding contributions to the local economic and social development in Huai 'an and Lianshui.
