Appointment procedures for Chutian Scholars

The Department of Education accepts applications for the Chutian Scholar position once a year. Colleges and universities should submit an application to the Department of Education before April 15 of each year, and submit the "Application Form for Chutian Scholars in Hubei Province Colleges and Universities", the post establishment plan and comprehensive materials; the Department of Education organizes the "Chutian Scholars Program" "The review committee will review the application for Chutian Scholars in colleges and universities to establish positions, and publish the list of approved positions to the public. According to the specific requirements of the Chutian Scholar position, colleges and universities recruit openly at home and abroad.

Higher education institutions should establish peer expert review committees composed of well-known experts for each recruitment position to conduct reviews according to prescribed conditions. The peer expert review committee is generally composed of more than 7 experts with profound academic attainments in the subject field, of which no less than half are experts from outside the school. The institution of higher learning selects the recommended candidates based on the review opinions of peer experts, and negotiates with the recommended candidates to determine the employment period objectives, tasks and supporting measures in accordance with relevant requirements. Colleges and universities shall submit relevant materials of recommended candidates, employment period targets and supporting measures to the Department of Education before April 15 and October 15 of each year. The Department of Education organizes the "Chutian Scholars Program" review committee to review the recommended candidates submitted by colleges and universities. Special candidates can submit applications at any time. The Department of Education will publicize the candidates who have passed the review. The publicity period is generally two weeks. If there is no objection after the public notice period, the Department of Education will issue a document to confirm it, and the higher education institution will sign an employment contract and a work assignment letter with it, and report it to the Department of Education for filing. If a higher education institution commits fraud or other acts in its application, the Department of Education will suspend its relevant disciplines from participating in the "Chutian Scholars Program" this cycle.
