General situation of Pingdi town

In 2003, the Party Working Committee and Office of Pingdi Street in Longgang District will be formally established in 2004.

Pingdi Street is located in Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, bordering Xinxu Town, Huiyang District, Huizhou City in the northeast and northwest, adjacent to Kengzi in the southeast and Longgang Central City in the southwest. It is the traffic artery leading to Huizhou, Heyuan and Meizhou in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and the Shenhui first-class highway and Huiyan expressway pass through the territory, belonging to Longgang Pingdi central group area.

Taking the international low-carbon urban construction in Shenzhen as an opportunity, the development of pingdi has been accelerated in an all-round way, with more than 1 100 enterprises (3 listed enterprises,1500 million enterprises). The demolition, planning, construction and investment promotion in the core area of low-carbon cities have been accelerated. The first and second Shenzhen International Low-carbon Forums were successfully held, and the trading of carbon emission rights was officially launched. A number of green and low-carbon projects such as Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Astronaut Space Eco-medical Research Center, 3D printing display, big data, and robots have signed up to settle in, creating a remarkable "low-carbon city speed" and becoming "business cards" for Shenzhen and Longgang to promote low-carbon development.

Grassland ecology is good, and the regional forest coverage rate is 51%; Dingshan River, Longgang River and Huangshahe River run through the whole territory, Huangzhukeng Reservoir, Changkeng Reservoir and Baishitang Reservoir are all over the region, Huiyan Expressway, Longgang Avenue and Hengping Road run through the territory, and Shenzhen Outer Ring Expressway and Metro Line 3 connecting Pingdi will be completed soon, with convenient transportation and extending in all directions. The area has low building density and rich land resources; Taihe old city reconstruction project has been completed, Country Garden, Fulongshan and other three old city reconstruction projects are being implemented, the construction of parks such as the center and Houshan has been accelerated, Pingdi new hospital, Pingdi primary school and nine-year compulsory school have been put into use, and the urban facilities have become increasingly perfect, making it a livable place suitable for business and industry.
