Although he is gone, he has been affectionate for thousands of years. On a crisp autumn day, Professor Wu Chungen and his party, led by a strong village guide Li, followed Xu Xiake's footsteps and made an unforgettable trip to Fushan.

In the first year of Chongzhen (1628), Xu Xiake climbed Fogai Mountain for the second time. Xu Xiake, a teenager, dreams of swimming in the blue sea, climbing to the sky one step at a time and going down the mountain one step at a time. When he heard that Huang Daozhou, who had just gone to Beijing to be an official after filial piety, hired a boat to catch up at full speed, and finally caught up with him on Danyang Road hundreds of miles away, selling wine and drinking together, writing poems, but the wine was inexhaustible. It is enough to have a bosom friend in life, and we should treat them with the same mind. Looking for a mountain is like visiting a friend, and traveling far away is like being in the body. For the third time, Xu Xiake went to Fujian via Xianxia Ancient Road. There was no special itinerary, so he didn't miss Fogel Mountain again.
Jinzhuduo legend
Following in Xu Xiake's footsteps, we moved on. "Three miles down the mountain, turn south, cross a stream, walk three miles, turn to Nanwu, which is the village at the northern foot of Fushan Mountain. Streams crisscross, bamboo and wood are quiet, and several' golden bamboos' are in the clouds. " The "golden bamboo" in this article is today's "strong village", which was renamed in the 1950s. Xianxialing area is mountainous and barren, and villagers really need a little indomitable spirit if they want to live a happy life. Li's explanation is very reasonable.
Relying on mountains to eat, relying on water to eat, a long time ago, the strong eight-year-old people used the rich bamboo and wood in mountainous areas to set up a paper mill. Tongzhi's "Jiangshan County Records" contained: "There are three kinds of paper: rattan paper, cotton paper and bamboo paper." Among them, "bamboo paper" is made of bamboo. When Xu Xiake passed by the King of Wu, he had seen such a papermaking workshop: "The single-plank bridge was built by paper workers through the fence."
In fact, another kind of paper, called "square high paper" (commonly known as "paper-based paper"), is also produced in the area of Nianbadu. Mainly used for smoking, sacrifice, etc. Because its size is one foot square and its height is about two feet, it is named "square paste paper". By the time of the Republic of China, "the mountain (paper) was high for one year, and it was also 100,000 tons (annual output)" (Zhejiang Paper). In the 28th crossing, there are more than ten family papermaking enterprises such as Yang, Cao Shi and Jin. Among them, Yangjia Paper Company has 36 paper troughs, with an annual output of more than 40,000 household paper. It is said that every time the earthen paper comes out of the trough, several tons of rice are given to the paper porters every day. The development of paper industry has promoted the prosperity of industry and commerce in Nian Ba Du and brought prosperity to Nian Ba Du.
Zhu Jin people make paper and grow tobacco, and there is a "smoke shed" natural village in the village. Li said that during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were grocery stores, restaurants and hotels. In the very prosperous Zhu Jin Village Street. Some hotel owners also put up portraits of Xu Xiake in the lobby to attract customers and promote Zhu Jin Village.
There is no one in Zhuangzhai today who doesn't know Xu Xiake, and Li is no exception. He studied in middle school and is familiar with the scenery and historical anecdotes of Fogai Mountain, especially the anecdotes about Xu Xiake.
We talked with the villagers in front of a homestay in "Xiake Station-Yulong". Yulong is the name of the owner of the people, and Xiake Inn is the unified name of all homestays in Qiang Jian Village, which is also the best memorial to Xu Xiake.
There are eight natural villages in Qiang Jian Village, among which "Wu Wang" (the last article was mistaken by Xu Xiake as "Nanwu") is one. This name has a history. According to legend, a long time ago, a group of heroes appeared on the mountain opposite the king of Wu, led by a heroine. She has extraordinary skills. She can walk across the mountain stream with a big basket of grain in her hand. The officers and men came to encirclement and suppression many times, but they all returned in vain. The insurgents are very powerful in Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi. When the officials passed by, they all got off their horses and headed for the cottage. Of course, the court will not let her go easily, so it designed to arrest her. One day, the queen walked from the hut to the entrance of Wuwang Village, and suddenly found that the mountain was full of officers and men wearing iron helmets and armored armor. "Finished, that to so many officers and men? I'm afraid I can't run this time! " The queen stamped her foot angrily and left deep footprints on the thick slate. When a group of officers and men rushed to catch her, the queen gave up her resistance and was caught in her hand.
In fact, many officers and men outside the village are just cunning enemies, covering bamboo and trees with iron helmets and armor. On the ancient road not far away, Li showed us the footprints of the Queen on the green slate, which was at least 50 yards long and the size of the legendary giant. When Xu Xiake passed by here, he should have heard this story and seen this footprint. The truth of the story is not unimportant, what is important is to inspire people: the enemy is always more cunning and dangerous than we think. To defeat a powerful enemy, we must be brave and fearless, and have a calm, rational and powerful mind.
The ancient road from the King of Wu to Lishan Temple is very well protected. Li told us that in the 1970s and 1980s, in order to facilitate the villagers to transport fertilizer and grain, the village organized villagers to widen and reinforce the ancient road.
Further up is the "hundred burdens". This is a barren hill, and even in good years, the harvested grain can't reach100t, so someone gave it such a humorous name, pinning the cold hope of the cultivators.
Further up is Lingtou, where stands the pavilion of "Clouds Stop Fairy South". The road pavilion is a place for pedestrians to rest and enjoy the cool, and it is also a place to convey goodwill. Good-hearted people often put tea in pavilions and supply it to passers-by for free. In a place far away from the city, it is easiest to meet beautiful emotions and qualities. When Xu Xiake traveled in Wan Li, he met many people's help, such as monk Wen Jing and Mu Taishou in Lijiang.
Moving on, a strange stone appeared in front of us. The mountain has roots and the stone has feet, but the empty stone floating on the mountain seems to whisper and is gently placed on the side of the road. Some of these stones are like dolphins, some are like buffaloes, and some are like fighting. The most special piece is called "dismount stone". The two big stones are separated on both sides of the ancient road, only two or three feet apart, so the rider must dismount to cross, hence the name. Legend has it that a long time ago, these two big stones automatically closed after dark, making it impossible for people to pass. One day, a monk came back late from Fogai Mountain, and found that the stone dismounted had been sealed, so he had to bypass the paddy field next to him, and his feet got stuck in the mud, making a mess. The monk was furious, caught a big black dog, cut off the dog's head with a knife, and spilled the dripping blood on the dismounted stone. It is said that ghosts and gods are afraid of dog blood, especially black dog blood. Stone God dismounted and surrendered. Since then, Shimen has been open day and night. The monks in Fogai Mountain are a bit like Lu Shenzhi in Water Margin. He is wearing a Samana and has a strong heart. He strives to win respect and dignity.
Why are there so many rocks in Fogai Mountain? The scientific explanation is that the Fugaishan rock formation is Jurassic volcanic eruption rock. After a long period of weathering and erosion, the cracks between rocks are constantly expanding, and the edges and corners of rocks are becoming more and more rounded, forming such a magical landscape. But the villagers in Nianbadu have another romantic saying. Legend has it that a long time ago, a fairy came to Jiangxi with a batch of stones to be used as a dam on the Ganjiang River. Walking to Fogai Mountain, I heard people crowing below. In order to prevent these strange stones from scaring the villagers who got up early, the fairy left them on the mountain and left alone. Leave these stones to wait day after day, year after year, but never wait for the arrival of the fairy. It turns out that they are abandoned children who have no chance to stop the river!
This reminds Xu Xiake of his best friend Huang Daozhou. In Xu Xiake's eyes, this famous scholar and patriot with the first writing style, the first character and the first knowledge in ancient and modern times has never been reused by the Ming Dynasty. On the contrary, he was demoted and dismissed from office, and was jailed for speaking out. Fifteen or six years later, on 1645, Huang Daozhou was appointed by the small court of Nanming as a college student in the official department, the Ministry of War and Wuyingdian. However, at this time, the general trend has gone, all efforts have been in vain, and he can only accept the fate of being caught and killed.
Eight hundred years Lishan Temple
After the dismount stone, Lishan Temple is just around the corner. At this time, Xu Xiake also saw it from a distance: "In another five miles, the big stones are fair and square, the chess is scattered, and the pine and bamboo fight for the stones. Has entered the resort, bamboo deep stone turn, right in the middle of a temple, that is, Baihua Rock also. The monk pointed out that the back hill is extremely high and the rocks are very strange. The right ring of the temple turns left, which is Lishan Temple. "
Lishan Temple, also known as Lishan Temple, is located at the northern foot of Fogai Mountain. The entrance to the mountain is the front hall, and the patio is the main hall, showing a zigzag plane. There is a precious stone tablet in front of Lishan Temple, which reads "Rebuilding the Inscription of Lishan Temple". The author's name is Liu Guoxuan, and he was the magistrate of Jiangshan for sixteen years (175 1). At the beginning of getting off the bus, it happened that there was a drought in Jiangshan. Liu Guoxuan suggested famine relief and was pleased with it. During his term of office, "(Liu Guoxuan) will rest at Lishan Mountain every time he goes to Ba Du on business" (Liu Guoxuan's "Rebuilding the Inscription of Lishan Temple", see the annals of Badu Town in 2008). After 20 years of Qianlong (1755), Liu Guoxuan became the county magistrate of Jiangshan again. When passing through Lishan Temple, he saw that Lishan Temple was dilapidated and desolate, so he asked the monks in Jin Shan about the reasons and offered to donate money for reconstruction. Two years later, the Lishan Temple was renovated. Monk Jin Shan respectfully asked Liu Guoxuan to write an inscription on the stone tablet to remind future generations to protect the Lishan Temple.
Lishan Temple was founded during the reign of Li Zongnian in the Southern Song Dynasty (1225- 1264). Legend has it that a foreign monk came to Li Xia in Qipanshan and said that he would build a temple. But I didn't know where to choose the site, so I asked the monk of Baihuayan Temple. They say that it is good to build a "fairy clothesline" and that it is good to build the east side of Baihuayan. There are different opinions. The next day, a monk found that a rhubarb dog kept in the temple was missing. Where have you been? Several monks searched everywhere and found it lying in the sun in a clearing in Lishan, where it was dry and sunny, with a spring next to it and clear water trickling down. It suddenly dawned on everyone: isn't this the place where the temple was suggested?
Lishan Temple is built in the place where dogs sleep. What about Baihuayan Temple that Xu Xiake has been to? Unfortunately, it has disappeared in history. After Xu Xiake left, on a dark night of a month, a group of robbers rushed into Baihuayan Temple, armed with spears and knives, and grabbed whatever they saw. The monks in the temple struggled to resist, but they were outnumbered, and only two instruments were saved: an iron cast round hall chin and an oval incense tray carved with stone. Monks temporarily put them in Lishan Temple to rebuild Baihuayan Temple by charity. However, it is easier said than done. This kind of deposition has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years. Until now, there are still only rocks on Baihua Rock, and the temple has disappeared. Fortunately, this dish in Lishan Temple makes people believe that Baihuayan Temple exists and that a Jiangyin person named Xu Xiake has been here. You can't keep the pace of time, but you can leave the texture of the years, leave traces of history, and condense some details and stories and legends, which makes people sad, memorable and full of emotions.
The story continues. One day in the late 1970s, a foreign businessman came to Lishan Temple, intending to buy it in the name of "dangerous house" and remove thick wood and solid bricks to sell. Just as he was bargaining with the village leaders, a wood carving beam suddenly fell heavily from a height and almost hit the businessman's head. He was surprised and seemed to think that someone was warning him, so he gave up buying. If you have awe, you dare not run amok. Later, someone picked up this piece of wood, wrapped it in yellow cloth and treasured it in the temple.
February19th and August 24th of the lunar calendar are the Spring and Autumn Temple Fair Days of Lishan Temple, and tourists from Zhejiang, Fujian and Jiangxi provinces are in an endless stream. 1997, Jiangshan Municipal People's Government approved Lishan Temple as a place for religious activities, and Qiang Jian Village established the Lishan Temple Management Team, which is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of the temple and maintaining the order of the temple fair. The chessboard stone seems to be close at hand, but it has to climb a long mountain road to get there. Stones of various sizes and shapes can be seen everywhere along the way. You climbed up with your head buried, and a "big frog" on the roadside held its big head and quietly watched us pass under its chin; I turned a corner and met a "square table"; Not far away, a huge rectangular stone appeared in front of us. Lao Li said it was called "steamed bread stone"
Finally, we climbed onto the chessboard stone. Chessboard stone statue is a huge chessboard standing between heaven and earth. With the help of branches and long grass, we climbed to the top of the mountain from the east side of the boulder. Confucius climbed the East Mountain and was small, and climbed Mount Tai and was smaller than the world. Climb the chessboard stone, and you can have a panoramic view of the Zhuang village below.
There are four or five big stones stacked on the chessboard stone Ding Lei, one of which is called Guishi. Legend has it that this turtle will die after thousands of years of cultivation. Thor knew about it and sent out lightning and thunder to stop it. There was a thunderbolt, and a big stone was struck by lightning, blocking the tortoise's way. The tortoise turned to run, and another stone was struck by lightning, blocking its back road. The tortoise gave up trying and lay there motionless until now. When the tortoise believes that all efforts are in vain, it determines its tragic fate.
It's a pity that I didn't see the description of the chessboard stone in Xu Xiake's Travels, but I saw a chessboard stone by Yan Shu, a famous writer and politician in the Northern Song Dynasty, in Twenty-eight Crossing Town Records:
Dong Xian left a stone chessboard, and people went to Hu Tianjing to see it.

In the gap between the chessboard stones, there is a long dragon bell grass, which looks like a wheat seedling, but it has good toughness and corrosion resistance. Li said that in the past, villagers often used it to make straw sandals and weave cables. Where it is difficult for people to survive, trees grow; Where trees are difficult to grow, grass grows. These dragon bells, which accidentally break into our vision and life scenes, don't live for anyone, but they always live seriously and persistently, bringing green and vitality to the world, which makes us respect.
It was already one o'clock in the afternoon when we got off the chessboard stone, and we stood on the mountain road for dinner. Lao Li said that on the right side of the road is the boundary of Nianbadu, and on the left side of the road is Pucheng, Fujian-we have two provinces.
After dinner, we moved on. Not far away, a rock appeared on the roadside, shaped like a shark's mouth. Moving on, another cave appeared on the roadside. Li said it was called "vegetable basket hall". Climbing up again, two big stones appeared in front of us, which was amazing. The one on the left is called "slap stone" and the one on the right is called "scissors stone". The palm stone is wide and pointed, triangular and straight into the sky. According to legend, it used to be the plough share for immortals to cultivate fog-Fugai Mountain is shrouded in fog all the year round, so the palm stone is also called plough stone. Scissors stone is big and thick, like a Tianzhu. Viewed from the side, two big stones are like lovers who live together, so some people say they are "stone cups". There is a straight gap between two stones, just like a mason splitting an axe with great power, just like a mini version of Jiang Lang glimpses the sky.

Millennium Dayun Temple
Walk past the plough stone, not far from Dayun Temple. Dayun Temple, also known as "Big Temple", belongs to Panting Township, Pucheng County, with beautiful surrounding environment. "Stone marks and bamboo shadows, white flowers and rocks are gradually figurative, and the peaks are hovering, which is really unique", which makes Xu Xiake very intoxicated.
Dayun Temple faces south, followed by the front hall, the main hall and the back hall along the central axis. The door opens to the east, just like a carp suddenly twisting its big mouth playfully. Baidu checked Dayun Temple and found that its building area reached 1.200 square meters, far exceeding Lishan Temple. There are thousands of Buddha statues such as Guanyin, Eight donkey kong and Maitreya in the temple. Chen Yangen, an old Buddhist in the temple, reminded us that the Maitreya Buddha here has a very special shape: a male head and a female body, solemn and charming. Generally speaking, Maitreya Buddhas in temples are shirtless and smiling to show that "a big belly can accommodate things that are difficult in the world;" Open your mouth and laugh at the ridiculous people in the world. It is said that this is related to a generation of empress Wu Zetian. After Wu Zetian monopolized the power, she wanted to be an unprecedented queen, but she suffered from no suitable reason. You want something at the top, but you must follow it at the bottom. Soon, Feng Xiaobao, Nong and others from Luoyang Baima Temple presented Wu Zetian with the Great Cloud Sutra, which contained the story of Maitreya's descent to the world as a queen. Wu Zetian regarded it as a treasure, and ordered all localities to build Dayun Temple and read the Dayun Sutra, so as to create momentum for him on behalf of the Tang Dynasty. According to the will of Wu Zetian, Maitreya in Dayun Temple changed its traditional image and added female factors. But its prosperity is also rich, and its death is also sudden. In 705 AD, Wu Zetian was terminally ill. After his son Li Xian successfully restored the temple, he sent letters to all parts of the country to destroy Dayun Temple. It is a miracle that Dayun Temple in Pucheng can escape this storm. Dayun Temple was renamed Dashi Temple, which may be related to this. Such a legendary historical story must have deeply aroused Xu Xiake's interest.
But Chen Yangen said that there is another reason why Dayun Temple is called a big temple. Legend has it that a long time ago, the four Weng brothers refused to enter the DPRK as officials and came to Dayun Temple to meditate and learn Buddhism. Later, Lao Si left Dayun Temple and went to the northern foot of Fogai Mountain, begging for donations, and built Lishan Temple, which became a "brother temple" with Dayun Temple. Later, every temple fair and fasting day, after worshipping the Buddha statue in Lishan Temple, Nianbadu people would go over Fogai Mountain to Dayun Temple to show their respect for their brothers. The people in Pucheng are the same, but in the opposite order, they go to Dayun Temple first, and then to Lishan Temple. Come and go just by visiting relatives and friends, strengthening the feelings of villagers in the two places, so there are many marriages between the two places.
Dayun Temple is built on the mountain and looks like a carp from a distance: the front hall is a carp mouth, the middle hall is a carp waist, and the back hall is a carp tail. Chen Yanen specially took us to appreciate the carp tail-a gray stone that is more than one person high, half of which is rooted in the ground and half of which is "long" in the air. Chen Yangen said that the fish leaping into the Longmen depends entirely on the fish tail, and Dayun Temple is "responsive". This stone tail has made great contributions. At that time, Xu Xiake should have seen it, but it was not written in the travel notes.
This magical tail was almost blown off. 1One day in July, 966, a group of young people who were ignited by the passion of the times rushed to Dayun Temple to "break the capitalism" and found this carp tail, but they couldn't push it, so they found explosives to blow it up. At this time, there was a strong wind outside, a thunderbolt sounded, and it rained cats and dogs in an instant. I gave up. Some people say that there is often only one difference between good and evil. I believe that these young people gave up the explosion because a kind heart defeated evil thoughts.
Outside the front hall stood a zhaobi with a couplet written on it: "The door contains thousands of scenery in Zhejiang and Jiangxi, and the hall contains the feelings of Yunshan and Wan Li." Did Xu Xiake read the confidence and pride of a generation of empress Wu Zetian?
It is said that Japanese monk Konghai was also received here. In July, 804, a delegation of Tang envoys went ashore from Xiapu to Chang 'an, passed Dayun Temple and drank tea given to them by monks in the temple, which left a beautiful mark in the history of friendly exchanges between China and Japan. I saw a bronze statue of an empty sea monk in Fenglingguan, Badu, 2008. He was barefoot, wearing a top hat, holding a mord in one hand and a alms bowl in the other, and his eyes were calm. In the eighth year, more than one person proudly told me that in those days, Konghai monks not only drank the tea here, but also took away the tea seedlings to make the tea fragrant. No wonder some people say that today, the tea tree in a hill in Japan and the elegant fragrant tea of a gentleman are still filled with the friendly feelings brought back by the empty sea from the ancient Xianxia Road.
Chen Yangen is 89 years old this year. His hometown is Yaozhai Village, Lu Guan Township, Pucheng County, and he is very familiar with Li. When the old man was young, he studied with the abbot of Dayun Temple. 1983 after the death of the master, he lived in the temple and assumed the obligation of caring for the temple. When we went that day, five or six middle school students in Fuzhou surrounded him and learned about the past lives of Dayun Temple. Our education needs books and reputation like Chen Yangen.
There are two or three tall ginkgo trees in front of Dayun Temple, which were blown golden by the cold wind in early winter, causing the elder sister of the same trade to kneel on the ground and record their proud colors and high-spirited gestures with their mobile phones. They may not have been born when Xu Xiake came here more than 380 years ago, but they know that a great geographer and traveler once came here.
Swimming in the rain
In the evening, Xu Xiake settled in Dayun Temple and prepared to visit Shilong Cave tomorrow. After eating and washing, Xu Xiake took out his pen and ink and began to write a diary by dim candlelight. No matter how tired he was, whether he spent the night in a ruined temple or slept on the street, Xu Xiake insisted on recording what he saw and heard during the day, leaving precious information for future generations. Some people say that in your temperament, there are books you have read, roads you have traveled and people you have loved. There must be a shadow of Fushan in Xu Xiake's temperament!
It rained heavily outside until the next day. On the fourth morning, seeing that the rain was a little slow, Xu Xiake couldn't wait to visit Shilong Cave. The temple had to arrange a monk as his guide. The mountain road is rugged, slippery and full of thorns, and every step is very difficult. The monk waved a firewood knife to open the way ahead. Longdong is halfway up the mountain. The hole is small and dark inside. Xu Xiake climbed in with a torch. There is a thick layer of sediment on the ground, and the accumulated water overflows the feet. The Longdong is getting narrower and narrower, and Xu Xiake leans against the stone wall. In difficult places, we can only cooperate and support each other with monks, and then we can finally climb into the big hole. There is a pool in the cave, which is bottomless. The monk said it was "Longtan". There is a white stalactite hanging upside down at the top of the cave, which looks like a black dragon, hence the name "Longdong".
It's hard to get into the hole, and it's even harder to get out. "The chest and back are close to the two walls, but the knees can't bend and stretch, and the stone stings the skin. You can't hang up before and after. One person per degree, the more anxious, the fear of becoming one with the stone. " Walking out of Shilong Cave, Xu Xiake was born again.
After a short rest, Xu Xiake followed Xiling westbound and turned southwest, enjoying the scenic spots such as "Two Bamboo Shoots and Stone Man" and "Hu Anping with Five Peaks" along the way, and finally climbed the highest peaks: the floating roof and the zhongding. On the top of the mountain, "it's all piled up with stones, with boards below and covers above." When the cloud rises, it floats on the sea of clouds like a car cover-hence the name "Floating Cover Mountain". After that, go back and forth to Dayun Temple for dinner. Leave Dayun Temple in the afternoon, travel ten miles south, arrive at Liling, take Xianxia Ancient Road to Jiumu, Fujian, and stay at Yuliangxia Street.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of mountaineering exercise at ordinary times, when we arrived at Dayun Temple, the four of us could not follow Xu Xiake's footsteps and finished the "Xiake Road". Instead, I went back to Nianbadu and had dinner in a farmhouse. Xu Xiake talked about "how far it is, how far to go, and how to connect one's footprints into a lifeline". He talked about Fushan, where "strange peaks and rocks rise together and colorful clouds meet Shan Lan", and talked about Fujian and Zhejiang joining hands to protect Xiake's road and attract more people to wander around Fushan.
At the banquet, Li Wei wrote a poem:
There are strange peaks in Fuxian Mountain, and Lishan Temple is famous all over the world.
The Diary of the Chivalrous Man has been handed down from generation to generation, and the road of Chivalry has been a thousand years.
Xu Xiake never imagined that an out-and-out farmer, the security guard of Watanabe City Hotel in 2008, could write such a beautiful poem.
