1. Those who agree with the articles of association, have published or published literary creation, theoretical research and translation works with a certain level, or have made remarkable achievements in literary editing, teaching and organization, can become members of the association upon their own application, recommendation by member units of various organizations or introduction by two members of the association. After soliciting the opinions of the member units of the organization where the applicant belongs, it shall be reviewed and approved by the meeting of the Association Secretariat.

2. The applicant must be a member of the Chinese Writers Association (except directly under the authority in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and directly under the authority in the People's Liberation Army). When applying, they must submit: generally, there are more than two literary works independently created and published by themselves, and the works must have ISBN international standard book number; A copy of the membership certificate and membership card of the member unit of the Chinese Writers Association.

3. New members shall be examined and approved by the Secretariat of Chinese Writers Association. Before the examination and approval, the joint venture department shall listen to the opinions of the expert advisory group and the member units of various organizations and provide them to the secretariat for reference. The examination and approval shall be conducted by secret ballot, and those who get more than half of the votes shall be new members.

4. The examination and approval results will be notified in written form to each team member unit and the applicant.
